Riise always was my favourite Liverpool player.. Wink.. To be fair to them, they did have the better of the game.. although yet more dodgy decisions either given or not..

It's far from over though..

They do say the secret of comedy is timing, and doesn't Riise know it - Right when the happy chappys of Liverpool decided it was game over and burst into that wonderful song, Riise scores a corker.. and what a punchine line that was.. i'm still laughing now... Thumbs Up

I really can't believe that anyone from our end of the country would want Chelsea to beat anyone. Hang your head in shame, Mr. The Fan.
They are right at the bottom of the food chain. I would be quite happy to see Munich, Newcastle, Sunderland, or even Hartlepool beat them.
So it only remains for me to ask.
a) are you from the North?
b) are you so frightened of meeting Liverpool in the final?

A) - Yes (North West)

B) Not at all. I'd actually prefer it as if we did win, it would be far more satisfying than beating Chelsea.

As much as it pained me to 'support' Chelsea during that particular game, the hatred i have for LFC, far outways that pain. I know a fair few LFC fans and get nothing but constant stick. Although i'm not quite sure why they still crow on about dusty trophy's..

Being by far and away the most successful club in the country would give them good reason I suppose

Oh, and one of those "dusty trophy's" was won since Utd won their last Champions League trophy, nine years ago

I put it to you Mr. The Fan that you are annoyed. You are annoyed that everyone and his van were flying the Barcelona flag yesterday. This caused you, in a moment of rage, to lash out at your local neighbours.

Where's their Prem trophy? As in any they've won since 1993? They can always borrow one of our 9 if they like?

Of course you look at a clubs overall record but recent years count just as much, and Liverpools isn't good, so they should get a new song other than crowing "we won it 5 tiiimmmmesss"... zzzz....

Sorry Joe, but you're way off. I had no reason be annoyed. Just the usual smug unsporting behaviour that get's thrown our way by the majority of LFC fans at every opportunity. And i've no doubt they feel the same likewise. Thumbs Up

(another amusing jape based on the St George Flag/Barcelona flag similarity totally ruined)

But then they don't need to win the Prem lge to win the Champions League, which is where the title of the competition falls down. You've won the Prem 9 times, they've won the champions league as many times as you have since the inception of the Premier League and been runners up. Perhaps if the competition remained true to its roots instead of the money grabbing, greedy big European superpowers then Liverpool may have tried harder to win the Prem

You know full well that LFC have won more titles than anyone else FACT. Football did NOT start with the Premiership and Sky. Although I accept you've nearly caught up Mad

*POINT*<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< There's the point, and >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> here's *you*.... missed it completely. I'm talking about recent prem wins, not the good old glory days of the 70's. Your precious team only seem to make a bit more effort when it comes to European games, i'd like to see a half decent attempt at winning a Prem trophy sometime soon.
Thumbs Up

Aaah!!! I see qwhere you're coming from now.

History lesson: Rupert Murdoch, however myuch he'd like to think otherwise, did not invent football. It was invented in the 19th century and it is from this date most people take their knowledge and statistics from, not just since 1992
