Will he walk out on Liverpool? Will he get pushed? Will he persuade the owners that his knowledge of the transfer market outweighs theirs? Will his rotation policy do for him? Who will be the next coach if he does go (Paul Jewell?)? Will he shave off that ridiculous beard?

All questions that need addressing urgently. Discuss...

It doesn't really matter Andy Wink

I'm afraid he'll be forced out by the dimwits in charge, it'll be a massive loss to Liverpool if it does happen.
They seem to have lost faith in him, and are refusing to let him buy any players in January unless others are sold, despite the fact that the ones he wishes to bring in won't cost a penny and had been agreed beforehand.

It seems like the exact same scenario as Chelsea last January and we all know what happened there...

I think he will leave at the end of the season (wish a nice bit of cash for being forced out).

Jose could take over (mayb liverpool would win the league then lol).

as for the beard issue, it dont look good on Rafa but i dont mind them as most of the year i have 1 myself lol

As I said on another thread, the £25m Mourinho got from Chelsea prevents this

He'll be staying, he's playing a dangerous game but not even Mickey Mouse and Forest Gump, or whatever their names are, will kick out a successful coach, its all just flannel, and he'll be in charge at the start of next season for sure, and he'll get his way over Mascherano and a defender, probably Garay or whatever his name is

You do have to pay them wages as well...

I read he isnt allowed to sell any either till they have talked.

From memory Spanish workers are obstinate and dont like being bullied around and US managers dont like being told no. So it should be an interesting few weeks. Not if you are a pool fan though.

There was a BIG rumour last night that he'd walked. It was all over the internet and Talksport picked it up and ran with it.

I think it all boils to down to the next two CL group games and the decisions on January spending. I reckon he'll go.

What perhaps makes it ominous for Liverpool fans is that a similar thing led Rafa's departure from Valencia. He took them so far but the board were not prepared to back him with the funds he demanded and thus he walked.

It all came about because of the statements released by Hicks and Gillet on the official Liverpool Website and then Benitez's response.

From what I'm now hearing, the decision has already been taken that Rafa is to leave.

This type of thing really irritates me. Football is becoming a horrible horrible business. These two yanks clearly have no interest in the game and are plainly out to make a quick buck.
In truth Liverpool spent a net amount of £20m over the summer and yes I'd be the first to question some of the buys, but it was Rafa who in getting them to the CL final earnt that sum for the club.

But that's not even the main thing that is bothering me. It's more in the sense that these cowboys with no interest in the game, take out massive loans to buy these clubs in the hope that it'll make them a few quid. Whereas Rafa is clearly the long-term ambitions of the club at heart and has brought in a number of highly talented young players from across the world that will see Liverpool remaining a force and taking that step further.
Houllier and the guys that came before him had left the club in a real state and it will take time for all aspects of the club from the training to the playing staff to be rectified, and the last thing they need is for a foreign merchant to unsettle the structures his put in place. Let's not forget if they do get Mourinho in then it will take at least another year or two for him to work his 'magic', bring his own players in, change the style of play etc etc. so why not just stick with Rafa?????????????????????????

I'm sure that he will stay.
According to Radio 5 this morning, one of the owners is looking for a way out.
