Sevilla were good tonight managed to take off Kanoute early to rest but Rercreativo still created chances. It could be a very open game which makes me nervous and excited at the same time.

Since the beginning of the season we've heard nothing about Rafa rotating, suddenly after a draw against Pompey, people are jumping on the bandwagon and saying it's all down to his tinkering It's his way to get the best out of his players, judge him in May.

Has anyone seen Mourinho harping on about omlettes and eggs, what a buffoon, he knows how to make half his squad inferior thats for sure. Mourinho's side have failed to hit the net in their last two league games but Chelsea's Portuguese coach maintains it is important his side remain committed to playing attractive, stylish football. However, in a typically bizarre analogy, Mourinho admits that without his best players, it is like trying to make an omelette without the best eggs money can buy. Mourinho declared: 'The style of how we play is very important. But it is omelettes and eggs. No eggs - no omelettes! It depends on the quality of the eggs. 'In the supermarket you have class one, two or class three eggs and some are more expensive than others and some give you better omelettes. 'So when the class one eggs are in Waitrose and you cannot go there, you have a problem.

It was in response to a hack asking him why they play such rubbish football, and he replies indirectly that it's because he has such rubbish players. Probably a thinly-vieled swipe at Abramovich for not backing him last summer as he had the years before. I think if Mourinho wern't so petrified of losing he could easily play decent football with the players he has. After spending God know how much since he's been at the helm, how he can complain of having bad eggs is beyond me. You are right ST, what message does it send out to his players, when their manager is basically saying they're too rubbish to play entertaining football? It's easier to play Chelsea's brand of football than Arsenal's I don't care what anyone says. Mourinho, until he plays decent football and wins will never gain my total respect.

I know, I dont think he rotates much more than Wenger does. Expect to see Eduardo in this game as he was rested. Rosicky to start instead of from the bench. As for Mourinho it sounds to me he is getting his excuses in early. After promises of better football this year and it all going a bit wrong early on. He is under as much pressure as Jol.

Agreed, he's got far better players than he had at Porto, so whats he whinging about? They played far better than Chelsea do, and Arsenal far better than either of them, he's lost the plot this year, cant wait for the Utd v Chelsea game

It was in a lot of papers ...from mediawatch's predictable headlines: 'Is Jose Crackin'?' - The Sun 'Jose's Egg Flip' - The Daily Star 'This Is No Yolk' - The Daily Mail

Flicked between the Chelsea and Liverpool games last night. Think the 1-1 with Porto was a fair result. Liverpool looked very frustrated as time got on.. some clumsy challenges.. Pennant couldn't really expect any less so i'm not sure why he looked so shocked to get the second yellow.. no real need to take Lucile down.. But (and i'm sure some will chirp in) the fans have to be happy to just get the draw.. Chelsea's game was a bit more entertaining.. not sure if that's because they were 1-0 down for a while.. hmm.. did they break any records last night for the amount of attempts on goal? Shevchenko was on form for the most part but not quite the £30 million worth.. bit harsh of the Rosenborg players to attack him for his trip over their floored player, reply's showed he hadn't seen him.. Overall Roesenborg gave them a better game than i thought they would.. Lowest turn out for 4 years for the Chelsea fans though 24,973....... ----------------------------- Manchester United Double Winners 2007/2008

It seems most Portugese players are made of paper and leaves. It takes just a puff of wind to blow them to the ground

Great win for Arsenal tonight, though I thought Sevilla did have chances in the game. United's last FIVE games have ended 1-0 Interesting to see Chelsea draw against the mighty Norwegien champions. And I felt Liverpool were fortunate to get a decent draw in Oporto.

Don't it just! And even when they play in the Premiership they still do! Happy enough with the draw for Liverpool. The hardest game we will get in the group, and a bonus at having Pennant suspended too! Overall, didn't do too bad with 10 men, esp when judging previous English teams results there. Surprised by the Chelsea result (ish), and the Man U one too. Having spent £40m on a striker, I would have expected more than 4 mins out of him seeing as they seem a bit goal shy this season...and maybe get him on the score sheet for once! But Kudos to Arsenal again. Continually proving that Wenger might well know his players and game just a bit more than the likes of Andy Grey might think!
The past is history...The future a mystery. This moment is a gift...That's why it's the present.
