Last week (and probably earlier in the season for Man U etc) there were Spurs fans in the Watford end (happens sadly at a club like ours) so clearly were unsure what to do if they scored (or us).

Clearly with the score being 0-0 (somehow I have to say...both teams missed great chances) they managed to seek out without any worries or problems.

Have you had experience of 'sitting in the wrong end when your team has scored?

Yes chelsea v barca at stamford bridge, my dad said lets sit with the barca fans. And i wanted to go to the chelsea fans. ans when drogba scored, i jumped up and cheered, all the barca fans looked at me. and they started screaming at me in spanish. Luckily for me the studars made me move away. when moving away, i threw a whole mars bar at a fan,and laughed in his face.

You're hard. Roll Eyes

I've done it a few times. Luton when all-members, made it cumpulsory, but prior to that I also had the 'fun' of a match in the seats with a baying mob round us, at Kenilworth Rd.

Sheff Weds, Spurs, Man Utd, WBA, Coventry, Everton, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, I've been in with the home end at all of them. Albion was a bit hairy, being in a previous life on the terraces, but mostly got away scot free.

I was stood in amongst the 'Boro supporters when Darlo beat them 2-0.

The recent England v Portugal WC game. I was surrounded by them!

Proud to be subsidising, nay bailing out, people who had more money than me, even if they did waste it all on inappropriate motors, housing, and tosh.

He deserved it. So agressive he was.

well I just got a post sent to the admin because of a trigger word I used!

I was just explaining what a vile, disgusting, vermin lot the Everton supporters are.

Today on a coach they were throwing things out of the window and being generally abusive. One lad lip read to me what he was going to do to my mother.

I just smiled at this filth and watch him get him increasingly more enraged. He looked like he was possessed.

It makes beating them so much more sweeter!

Oh Horns! Same sort of story...it was the night my team, Liverpool, played the Hornets in the quarter finals of the FA Cup in '86...We were 1-0 down due to a Barnes free kick, when Rush leveled with minutes left...Biggest crowd ever at Watford, and there's me jumping around at the wrong end...
Luckily for me, those were the days of Watfrd being the first 'family' club, and I was told through gritted teeth to 'shut the flock up', and I managed to keep quiet as we robbed our way to a 2-1 AET win. (It was later in the season, or not long after, that I found myself in the right end of VR, and staring down the barrel of a 3-0 pasting...89 mins on the clock and a booming scouse voice behind me yells "Forget the win lads, go for the draw!")

The past is history...The future a mystery.
This moment is a gift...That's why it's the present.

Where do I start with this one? There have been a few times, some very, very scary, some not.

In about 1990, at WHL, me and my mate went to Tottenham v Arsenal. we got drunk before the game and, my mate being an Arsenal fan and me favouring Tottenham, we went on the lower part of the Shelf. There was already a little mob of Arsenal at the front of the terrace and my mate decided to start singing his songs before he got to them, resulting in a whack on the back of the head for his troubles. I can't remember the score that day, but, after the game, the mob my mate was with got kept behind for a little while and, as I was waiting a few feet away, the police thought I was waiting to attack them, so they chucked me out. Outside the ground a group of about 15 or so fellas came up to me and one said "Its your unlucky day". I didn't need anyone to tell me what they had in store for me, so I ran back in and told my mate we have to get out of the place. When we came out, they recognised me and chased the 2 of us all the way to Bruce Grove where we managed to jump on a train and get away. That was very hairy, I can tell you.

About 1991 me and another mate went to THFC v Everton. Massive queues at the THFC turnstiles meant we tried the Everton end. During the game we were unsure of how many Tottenham fans were in the seats with us so, as THFC went 1-0 up, we tentatively rose to cheer and found there were loads in there, about half the seats in fact. Phew!!!

When I first started going to games with my mates in the early 80s, there was a fashion among the casuals who went in those days to take 'ends', so that was very, very dodgy. I was in the tottenham end at Highbury New Years Day 1986 when there was a very famous incident involving a joint West Ham and Chelsea 'landing party' in the Tottenham end. That resulted in carnage, mass fighting for about 5 minutes. I was also in the North Bank, Swansea in 1984 when Cardiff fans were involved in fighting in the East Stand, finished the job, ran across the pitch and jumped into the North Bank and carried on where they left off. Absolute mayhem for 90 minutes that day when there were loads and loads of incidents all over the ground.

So the Mars bar in the face spoken of in an earlier reply was absolutely nothing compared to the lawlessness of the 80s, and most of the real hooliganism of those days has completely died out, which is a very, very good thing, but in a strange old way, I kind of miss those days. They were very exciting for a lad of my age back then!
