It seems that Rafa's Liverpool are having the same difficulties as his Valencia sides. He just doesn't have a good track record when it comes to forwards. At Valencia he had a very mean Defence, a brilliant Midfield but no real 20 goals a season Forward. Yes they did win the title but that was with Baraja knocking in 20plus from midfield. At Liverpool Gerard appears to be Rafa's new Baraja as he struggles to settle on a forward pairing. Considering the money he's now spent on strikers such as Kuyt, Crouch and Bellamy he needs to find a partnership and quick if Liverpool are going to challenge for the title as many thought they would.
I always liked watching Valencia under Benitez, he got alot of goals out of Mista but also from Baraja, Aimar and Vicente. I actually think he had a better squad at Valencia than Liverpool. I think Liverpool need to be more dynamic they will curse themselves for not buying Daniel Alves who I think is the best right back in the world along with Zambrotta.
