I'd go with 98/99... failing that, 2003/2004 with Arsenal being 8 points infront by March.. even one or two bookies had paid out early on an Arsenal win that year...

I heard loads of Man U supporters shouting their mouths off say their team was going to do the treble, erm 1 trophy does not relate to a treble. Before you go on about this Wednesday game for me it's a bonus us getting there, win or loose.

Get over it bud. Like i said, if you think it's me fine, whatever, if you're bored an want to email the mods and ask, do it, they might actually confirm it's not.
Roll on next season!

United fans; do any of you think that out poor end to the season will have a knock on effect at the start of next season?
It's seems to have been forgotten, but we were well below par for the last few games.
I don't know if it was tiredness or what, but we are going to need to improve massively, as we are going to have to start fast if we are to retain the title.

Blimey! I wish we could have a poor end to the season like yours.

Poor? I wouldn't go that far. Taking into account Man Utd knew they had already won the Prem before the season was up. Not that im saying it's right to not put as much effort in. Although to give West Ham their due, they played well and need the win.
AC Milan outplayed us, can be no arguing with that, although (call it excuses if you like, i call it reasons) but Man Utd looked very tired and lacklusture that night.
As for the FA Cup loss, that could easily have gone either way. A decent goal by Drogba grabbed the win, a win Chelsea had to get (can you imagine if the had only the Carling Cup to show for the season?)...
Injuries have to be taking into account too. They were dropping like flies, and plenty of player weren't getting the rest they needed.
Therefore i'm not too worried about next season. I think we'll come out guns blazing and do the job.
