Hmm, Fergie said in the match program, that he would be putting a team out that was stong enough to win the cup... Was he kidding, or hugely underestimating the opposition? At least Coventry aren't at the foot of the Championship, like Southend were last year! On a brighter note, it'll give them more time to focus on the league...

Meh... No excuses, mainly reserves or not, Man Utd should have won... Well done Coventry. (P.s Purechillout, still keeping your team a secret? I swear it's Chelsea.. so, then i don't really blame you.. ) ----------------------------- Manchester United Double Winners 2007/2008

There's something not quite right at United. We need a new Robson/Ince/Keane type midfielder & a couple of strikers, one big one for starters. Maybe Anderson might turn out to be that man, but right now, he doesn't look up to filling those mighty boots. We don't appear to have the depth of squad, because even the team that we put out last night should have beaten Coventry. Well done the the Sky Blues. They were the better side & deserved it.

The way we are going, we might beat the 1990/1 Arsenal team's record of most 1-0 wins in a season!!!! Then again, if like them, we win the title, only conceding about 2 goals ( ) & losing only 1 league game all season, then I suppose it's all good!!!!!!

We didnt win the league in 1990/1 . If that is true about 1-0 which i highly doubt (I remember Revie's Leeds).

^ Well 4-1 is close enough.. .. A good convincing win this weekend.. more exciting to watch than the previous 1-0's (although i'd take 1-0's over draws or loses of course).. Rooney and Tevez work very well together, what with there being doubts over them being 'too similar'. Nani's starting to earn his place, great potential. ----------------------------- Manchester United Double Winners 2007/2008

I can't see it, but I hope so. Arsenal look the business though. AW has been quietly been honing his youngsters for the last 2 seasons & now we are seeing the fruits of his labour. Our boys are also looking good. Vidic & Ferdinand look solid, Nani & Anderson look the real deal, Hargreaves is back & he is quality, then there's Rooney & Tevez!!! Who said two little 'uns can't play together?

We have had so many wonderful players, it's difficult to accommodate them all. I feel the same about leaving Roy Keane out, but you can't have Robson & Keane in the same team & Robbo is my all-time United hero, so I'll never leave him out!!!

Gary Neville is out again! It looks as if history is repeating itself; Neville looks like a long term injury casualty. Gary Neville got his break in the side when Paul Parker kept breaking down injured & when Paul finally got fit, he couldn't get back in the team. Could the same thing happen to Gary?

Only if you sign someone. Brown looks like he's off in January as his contract is up in the summer and he won't sign a new deal. Leaving you with Fletcher, Silvestre and O'Shea as right back cover.

Wouldnt have caught a cold!! All that said, the three points end up at Old Trafford, so the rest means nothing!!

Tbh, ST, I'm not half as narked as last year...We completely played them off the park then, but they got a fluke and took the points in the last seconds...This time we did play cr@p, but even a draw would have been the least we deserved. Morally, for anyone except Andy Gray, it was obvious on both occasions who were the better team, even when we play pants! Morals certainly don't get trophies however, but at least we are showing signs of being in the ascendancy, and having a far better buying policy!
