Man Utd 2-0 Charlton

As expected really. Charlton didn't make it easy but i don't accept the whole 'score lines flatters you' that's floating around.. had bags of shots, sadly not ending up in the net.

I thought it was a comfortable & routine performance from the lads.

Good.

I remember Lille-ManU in last year's CL and they relied on winding you up, throwing elbows at every opportunity.

The team are a joke. Should be ashamed. Placed all the blame on us. All this talk of replays better come to nothing too...

Very clever play by Giggs.

Man U were lucky to get that Lille goal ruled out though!! Vidic went down far too easily, he looked a bit dodgy throughout I thought. Something I am hoping we can't exploit tomorrow.

Well done to Man U though.

Anyway to the game tomorrow- Saha WILL score, I will be putting a tenner or two on that. I seriously don't care if we win, lose or draw, I just want to see a positive reaction to the pathetic FA cup display.
If we lose but play well, I will be fairly happy (as long as referees don't have anything to do with the outcome).

Not really. He followed the letter of the law, something some teams and players find it hard to grasp

bbc say Uefa has charged Lille with the improper behaviour of their players during last Tuesday's Champions League tie against Manchester United.
The French side appeared to contemplate leaving the pitch in protest after Ryan Giggs' quick free-kick for United's goal was allowed to stand.
Lille lodged an official complaint with Uefa about United's winner but their protest has now been rejected.

I see your point but I still believe it was great awareness by him.

I still haven't seen the law that states 'when the ref walks away, you can take the kick'
We say it's common place over here, and they should expect it. But the French say if they want to dispute a decision, they restart the match, kick the ball off, then argue...It seems we want to have it our way, but not theirs!

kicking ball out to argue is not part of the game or the rules, and from all the french games i've seen i've never seen it happen, its all down to bad losing, something liverpool could of done against the bad ref in their game, only difference is we get on with the game.

Man U pluck a win out of nowhere like true Champions.

Bad luck for Fulham.

The thing is theres nothing in the rules saying you have to wait for the referee to allow the defence to build a nice wall and spend ages lining it up either. You dont have to wait for a whistle or whatever at a corner or goalkick, you can take a quick one once awarded. The problem as i see it is that the majority of referees are very controlling at free kicks and wont allow it to be taken till they say so, there is nothing in the rules to stop them dealing with free kicks that way either.

From what i understand the dutch league has been allowing play to restart quicker and he is a dutch referee. We have had it done to us in a CL game but we didnt walk off the pitch.

Today was a crucial day in the Premiership and the Man Utd celebrations reflected that. Man Utd were massacred for large parts of the game, and they still managed to win. Certainly the Performance of CHAMPIONS!

First of all congratulations to Man U.

Fulham made me proud today.
A draw would have been harsh on us as we were superb. Ferguson said it was their toughest game yet this season.

We finally played Radzinski upfront, he looked very good alongside the great Brian McBride who scored his 12th goal of the season!

Van Der Sar and two individual pieces of brilliance were the difference between 3 points and none.

Agreed there! Fulham were more than worthy of a point, and deserve to stay up on that single performance.
Well played...keep it up and you will be top half next year

Ronaldo fans must be getting worried. Yesterdays cheating by Gerard was much better than the Portuguese wide boy.

I'm a little fearful about the Liverpool game, next week.

Liverpool are in great form, whereas we just look to be ticking over.

Looks like Chelsea are going to win the League Cup.

If we win the Prem, then we can chant, 'YOU'VE GOT YOUR TROPHY BACK & WE'VE GOT OURS!"

Ferguson said it was their toughest game this season. Shame we can't play like that away from home! Credit to Brown who kept Scholes quiet all game, having a great season.

Anyway to Manchester United, that is the sort of performance that makes a team champions.
