I've been meaning to ask this for some time...... Remember the controversy surrounding the takeover at United? At the time I remember a group of fans going away and forming their own club. They were getting good gates and good results. Are they still in existence, or has there been some kind of blackout on their exploits?

Well done to FC United for overcoming, erm, Congleton... Who knows what else lies in store for them... Maybe putting FC at the right end of the name for starters?

I came to reply to the boast you started!!! I'd like to think it might shut you up for bragging about something you had in the bag, yet let slip through your fingers, but arrogance is hard to wash off! It's something you may have to get used to

Not at all! You have to start off by playing teams like Congleton. I think it's exciting when real fans decide to do something. But of course I come from the Fanzine culture.

John O'Shea seems to be returning to his 2003 form!  Darren Fletcher is also showing what he can do. The defence worries me though. I don't think we've kept a clean sheet since Vidic got injured. I said earlier in the season that Vidic was our best player & now that he is missing, we don't look so great at the back.

Syn...although it looks pretty cut and dried, you haven't won it yet. Thats the difference..you are rubbing noses for something you haven't won yet. It will be a huge upset and way against the odds if the Mancs manage to throw it away now, but in '05, Milan were certs to win the Euro Cup by half time, Wimbledon had no chance aginst us in the FA cup of '88, and a year later Arsenal were never going to get a 2-0 win at Anfield to win the title... Funny old game... Celebrate when you have your hands on silverware by all means. Doing it before hand is where the accusations of arrogance come from, and you will look daft if City spank yer bums next week, like they did when they relegated you! (I really don't know why they would want to do that!)

You are quite correct. I was getting a bit excited as it's been 4 years since we even looked like winning the title.

If we don't win it we don't win it.. I never said we would... i mearly cheered on our success so far - not a crime when i last checked? As for this obsession about shopping with this missus - WTF?
