he would prostitute himself for an extra fiver let alone a bonus...you think every single player loves their club. They all still play nevertheless. I just dont think he deserves to play till he does some grovelling first.

And if we let him go for nothing then it would be open season on our players at the next transfer window because everyone would then know oh yes all you do is upset the player and Arsenal offload for nothing.
Take Bayerns example they have done the same thing.
Looks like it's gone through, Capt, but I'm not sure about where Gallas is going to fit in. The main reason he was unhappy at Chelsea is because he was being asked to play at full back when he preferred centre back. So, is he going to keep Senderos or Toure out?
I know its only paper talk but here are a few interesting post-transfer rumours:
The Premier League agreed to push back the transfer deadline by 10 minutes to ensure Ashley Cole's move from Arsenal to Chelsea was completed. (Daily Telegraph) (Daily Telegraph)
William Gallas will be paid more at Arsenal than Cole at Chelsea. (Daily Express)
But Gallas' wage demands of £100,000 a week almost scuppered the deal. (Daily Mirror)
Arsenal promised Cole a move to Manchester United if he turned down Chelsea - but the England left-back refused. (The Sun)
Personally am surprised the FA allowed this afterall the club have had most of the summer to sort out a deal and would Man U really have wanted Cole?
Could the Gunners afford paying another 100k a week?
