I understand a Liverpool FC supporters group are trying to buy the club off its American owners with the intention of running it along the same democratic lines as Barca, good luck to 'em!
Not unless the Liverpool supporters' group's got deep pockets. They say they'll need £500m from 100,000 share holders to buy out Hicks and Gillett. I didn't know scousers were that affluent!
At £5,000 a share, it's not going to be the 'average' fan holding shares, but surely wealthy businessmen on the make and various big city institutions.
Personally i want DIC to buy out the americans, they have shown interest in us for years now, they also have the cash to spend too, where as the americans dont appaer to be doing anything other then adding debt
