View from left back position, Islington Tennis Center, Market Road, London N7 : played for Inter Club London today against an Arsenal supporters club. Absolutely knackered but we only lost 1-0, and that was a penalty for hand ball. I thought we would get thrashed as several of their players play quite regularly. But we more than held our own and had several good chances to score. Man of the match had to be Francesco who was a rock at the back: nothing got past him (unlike me who was left standing several times and even got nutmegged Roll Eyes).

Looking forward (I think) to the next game we play, maybe September. We just need better fitness levels. Just like Inter, in fact.

Hiii Phonicsdude Smile

I hope he will be the next Matrix.

I collected some info about our future players..

Claudio Yacob is an Argentine football midfielder. He was born on July 18, 1987, in the city of Carcaraña in the Santa Fe Province of Argentina. He currently plays for Racing Club de Avellaneda of the Primera Division Argentina.
Yacob made his debut for Racing in a 3-2 defeat by Club Atlético Banfield on November 8, 2006.
In 2007 Yacob was selected to join the Argentina Under-20 squad to play in the 2007 South American Youth Championship in Paraguay. He was also part of the U-20 team that won the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada.

Maximilliano Moralez is an Argentine football attacking midfielder. He was born on February 27, 1987, in the city of Granadero Biagorria in the Santa Fe Province of Argentina. He currently plays for Racing Club of the Primera Division Argentina.

In 2007 Moralez was picked to join the Argentina Under-20 squad at the 2007 South American Youth Championship in Paraguay. Later that year he helped Argentina to win the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup title in Canada.

I hope one of these two players will be in our team this year, specailly Maximilliano Moralez.

Hay che pasa chiquos(as) Have had a little break from posting and for the last two weeks been soaking up some sun with the famiglia on the Costa Brava. La Gazetta every morning with croissant and cafe solo (coffee never quite as good as in ythe motherland) by the pool or sitting on the beach. Very nice. Obviously missed the Valenica and Arsenal games won't get to Manchester but should be at the Villa. Pleased with the summer signings but anxious about the commonly held notion that we are strong favourites for next season, also don't buy any of the CL is more of a target than Scudetto philosophy. We could . . . should . . . be too good . . . but as Gennaro Gattuso said . . . actually who gives a t@ss what the rossonero midget said Smile

Any views on the fixtures?

Looking forward to an excellent Christmas present from Inter and to clinching the title on the 3rd last game of the season. Wink

No surprise really that we've got a home game for our 100th birthday. I'm sure the club will make an event of it.

The huge surprise is that, despite our baby going to be only about 6 weeks old, I have been told I can go to the centenary game! Big Grin Of course laying it on thick about missing out on the title celebrations I'd been waiting 18 years to witness didn't help. Cool

Congratulation guys.

Finally, we defeated Man United 3/2, but still i am not happy with our performance. We can not win CL with this squad. This because we do not have a play maker in Midfield. Barca, Chelsey, Milan and Leverpool deserve to take CL.

Play Maker in AC Milan: Kaka and Seedorf.

Play Maker in Barca: Deco, Iniesta, Xavi and Ronaldinho

Play Maker in Chelsey: Lampard, Joe Cole, Ballack

Play Maker in Leverpool: Xabi Alonso and Gerrard

Play Maker in Inter: ?

How we will win CL if we can not control the midfield?

The shirt isn't exactly a knockout, is it Frown? It's about as inspiring as the last Umbro shirts or anything from the eighties. I would have thought they could at least had a lace up at the neck. Or how about no collar and a big V? I think Nike (and Inter) missed a trick in not involving the supporters in the design of the centenary shirt.

I think if you read the reports on last nights game it states that Figo and Stankovic combined to provide the goals.
Are they not midfolders Peter.

Congrats Gingeki and thanks for the well wishes for my daughter (also BnB).
Suffice to say her lungs work well and that it is good to come to work to get tea breaks and a lunch hour.

Anyway, I am pleased with last nights result as I was expecting the worst. The more games the merrier and lets hope Mancio gets the right team on the pitch for the season opener.

Hiii Mr. Guravy Smile
I will prey for your daughter Smile

Are they (Figo and Stankovic) play makers?

From my side, i do not think so. They are only midfield players not play makers.

Am I the only one who finds this comment, in Peter's 'joke' language, uncomfortable?

View from behind Sir Alex:

Excellent 1st half performance from Inter and 2 great finishes from Ibra & Suazo. Counter attacks were quality.

The time is right to flog Adriano for 20 mill.

Man U tried to take the mickey when they went 1-0 up and were punished for it.

Really enjoyed noising up the Utd fans :-) They were nipping Big Grin

Look, you come on here with your wee fake foreign accent, and we laughed from time to time (personally it's been wearing thin for a while). And it's very simple, just change the spelling of the odd word here and there and make yourself the forum's very own Borat.

But do you really think, in the context of speaking about someone's daughter, changing pray to prey is appropriate?

I don't and when I read it to my wife she didn't, in fact she labelled you a sicko.

Just think before you post, that's all.

haha. I think it's hilarious that you showed some random post on a football thread to your wife and discussed how foul some dude was.
It's not even that bad. Is he actually going to prey on him? Was there any clear viciousness? no.

I made the mistake between prey and pray once and the religious person laughed. No big deal.

And Peter is the only remotely amusing poster on this forum (me aside).

For a start we did not "discuss it" I mentioned it in passing, she commented. I think the 'conversation' lasted 5 seconds. The point is that he knows exactly what he's doing with his posts and the words he chooses to alter the spelling of, therefore opting to use the word prey was my issue. To be honest it was the imposter's reply that annoyed me more. Roll Eyes

That's me drawing a line under it all. Not wasting any more time on the idiot and his comments.

Well posted Ginks...I know a lot of people who used to use this thread for intelligent debate have gone elsewhere due to the "postings" of P I.
You only have to think of the quality postings we used to get from IJB and IB and the llike..

Hey up folks - I'm leaving this a bit late really! but is anyone else going to the villa game tomorrow? I'm going up but don't have tickets - does anyone have any info on the ticket situation? I've been trying to ring for days but can never get through and you can't buy them online - I'm just going to get there early. I was thinking a friendly would never sell out but the other day at Old Trafford there were 70,000 odd apparently - any info would be coolio - cheers

He crossed the line more than any one can accept it. I'd rather keep my integrity and leave this thread forever.

Bye to all my friends who love my posts only.
