I was thinking a friendly would never sell out but the other day at Old Trafford there were 70,000 odd apparently - any info would be coolio - cheers

hi Shaker beads I finally got through on wednesday and bought my tickets which I am picking up from the Holt End porta cabin. Inter have been allocated their own section so I can only imagine that a lot of seats are up from grabs. The ICL seem very quiet about this game.Unfortunately, I couldn't get any sense out of the sales woman on the issue of ticket availability on the day. I hope you make it and we hook up.

Well posted Ginks...I know a lot of people who used to use this thread for intelligent debate have gone elsewhere due to the "postings" of P I.
You only have to think of the quality postings we used to get from IJB and IB and the llike..

He crossed the line more than any one can accept it. I'd rather keep my integrity and leave this thread forever.

Bye to all my friends who love my posts only.[/QUOTE]

For anyone up to scratch with Big Bruv I think Peter is having a Chantelle moment. We have been here before. Roll Eyes Gingeki I know totally where you are coming from but my advice is a fire needs oxygen to burn . . .

p.s just seen the new Setanta Sports TV ad with Des Lynam. Who's the woman serving up the pies? Pukka! Not quite the class of Boddingtons

Little Pete is like a woman who always has to have the last word Big Grin. He'll be back, like a Rocky sequel. A bad one.

Certainly more drama than the Inter team I watched this afternoon. I'll put it down to an Old Trafford hangover, but we were never at the races really. Good show from Chivu after he was skinned twice in the first 10 mins by Agbonlahor. Matrix was ok although at fault for the first goal. Samuel ok. Cesar was dreadful all afternoon, no pace, no penetration and poor judgement. Ibra flattered to decieve and should have stuck an easy chance in the net 1 min before interval. Stankovic was his usual self but his shooting boots needed tuning a bit today. Cruz and Ibra made way for Suazo and Adri. What a breath of fresh air Suazo is. He makes intelligent runs, is fast of the mark and is very generous in terms of setting up opportunities. Looks like a cracking buy. Jimenez I need to see more off. Fair turn out (maybe 200) in a segregated Inter end basking in the sunshine. Had a feeling this number was boosted by a sprinkling of Wolves and Birmingham City fans judging by the amount of venom aimed at the Villa.

Always good to see the boys but I think on this occasion there minds were already on the plane home.

hey up Spagbelli - thanks for your earlier post mate. Me and my mate got tickets in the end, we ended up in the Trinity Road Stand, I've been to the Villa a few times but always in the Holte or Doug Ellis. My mate is a Villa and Milan fan so it wasn't the coolest of afternoons! To be honest though I enjoyed it really, was a really good gate and a nice atmosphere. Have to say though Inter looked very un-interested and it was a bit of a shame there wasn't more of a spark from them. Ibra gave his all but that chance he missed was poor. I was impressed with Julio Cesar in goal, he made some really good saves. Was disappointed with the first goal - I think Matrix had slipped into a coma. Uriah Rennie was a... uriah rennie - I know it was a friendly and all but the amount of stoppages was just daft and Villa's free kick (for the second goal) and the penalty where just non-starters from where I was sat, still that's Rennie for you - only marginally less of a prat that Poll. To be fair I thought Villa more than deserved it - they played some good stuff, and being a bit of a Villa fan it's good to see - bit of a non starter today really for Inter but still good to see them I'm determind to get over to the Meazza this season now - mind you if they play like they did today I'll pelt them with ostrich eggs

You didn't happen to have a pint prior to the game? We ended up in a dive called the Aston Hotel . . . singularly the worst watering hole I have ever been into in my life. There was a right racket going on upon entrance. The door men were collecting £1 donations from each punter going in. No joke they must have cleared at least £1000 . . . for nothing. It was pay up or no entry. We then walked through the pub not an Inter shirt in sight, no sight of any banter, just awkward silences and shifty looks. The wall paper was peeling, syrup for carpets the windows inside were all smashed and I swear there was no electric lighting in there. Queued for 30 mins to get a pint of Worthingtons Creamflow and walked back out to the relative safety of the car park. Took one sip and nearly projectiled Sick. Put the beers down and left immediately. Found the nearest offy and got a carry out went back to ground and sat outside in sunshine. All in a day's work as an away fan.

That all sounds very familiar! Yeah, we went to a pub that charged a quid to get in, I think it was the Aston Hotel - it was on a corner? When you'd paid your quid you went into this sort of courtyard? We thought it looked marginally less rough than the one over the road! When we went past that one a some lads were being bundled out of the pub and into a police van - me in my Inter T-Shirt insisted we give that one a miss - the other one was a dump but I didn't get any stick to be fair, just a couple young lads but they were hardly worth worrying about. We had a pint of mild, it was quite nice but yeah we went and got a couple of cans after that. Was it from that offy were you paid behind the grate? You always know you're in rougher areas when the counters are behind gates - mind you it's not like bits of Glasgow where the whole stock is behind the grate too!

They'll probably cut the whole thread just to spite you, Mezz. I'm really trying to hang on but they are making this site intolerable Frown.

I hadn't actually thought about the thread being harvested as a result of my post, and even though I'm sure nobody would care/notice if it was actually deleted now, apologies in advance if it is.

Are the rest of the Interista using a different site now? This had become the most active thread on the Foro by some margin, but my post yesterday was the first for 10 days.

Anyway, glad to see your still hanging on fella! Smile

There's a weird place near where i live in brum where you have to press a button to go through one door wait for that to close and then press a button to go through to the actual shop. It's odd

Anyway onto calcio, lose tonight please Smile
