A bit like L'imperatore's offensive runs just of late this reeks of bad timing. However, I'm sure it is another case of things being taken out of context. I would like the lad to stay . . . but che sara sara. I'm not afraid of Adriano leaving take the money Chelski or whoever would give and bang it on the table for Luca Toni. Simple really.

You know very well that if he goes he'll suddenly be back on top form and get Golden Boot etc.

Don't know what has happened with Adriano these days. He does play alot of football internationally and domestically so i guess yeah he will bound to be exhausted so may not possibly get the best out of him. It would be absolutely mad to sell him in the summer because he has amazing talent and everyone has seen what he can do, he's only 24 aswell. I know with the World Cup he will not get a total rest in the summer but will surely have time to re charge his batteries afterwards and show off his ability.
Wehn next season starts then i think there is no real excuse for him not scoring as frequuently as he did earlier this season. If Mancini stays the same footballing idea will be there and probably the same main players. He has just got to dust this 2nd half of football off his shoulders and get on with it. Selling him is the worst thing to do.

It hurts to say, but i want you to stay.

I would get rid of Mancini before Adriano. As for Recoba, keeping him around for more bucks is just plain stupid

Stability is the name of the game for us this summer.
We need a few little tweaks to the team, but getting rid of Adriano would be a big mistake.
Changing too many players has affected us in previous seasons and took us too long to gel.

Let's get rid of the dead wood though and try and bring in some good quality players, especially on the left.

BREAKING NEWS: Gilmar Rinaldi, Adriano's agent, was translated as calling Adriano a "boy" by inter.it but a "lad" by C4!
I blame cancer.

As much as he's annoyed at times though, I think Adriano's got a point about tactics. I wasn't really that bothered about the Milan game, just didn't seem worth getting too excited about, but why did Mancini play him up front on his own? He doesn't really look fit enough with two let alone on his own! Cruz was suspended I think? Forget about Recoba, but Martins was about. Mancini's thinking was Veron was such a big loss I'd better bring two midfielders in to replace him, probably Roll Eyes If Mancini was going to "go for it" then you'd think he'd play two strikers, mind you he was going to "go for it" against Villareal...

...I don't want him sold, I want Mancini out before that. Who else would we get in of his talent? Simone Inzaghi!

The fact is that a draw in the derby would have been a good result for us. It would have is just 2 points behind with a superior record in our games against Bilan.

Still, all is not lost for 2nd place if we beat Reggina and Messina beat Milan (as I fully expect to happen).

Four pages of Adriano press conference now on Inter web site in Italian. English version will be along soon.

On another note, that waste of space Recoba has suffered anothr injury - a thigh strain. Should be put down if you ask me

IJ not sure if your being sarcastic or not? I am not really convinced that second place can still be ours. But I agree that a draw against Milan would have been a good result and to be fair to Mancini I don't think he got much wrong tactically on Friday (apart from starting Mihalovic). Surprise surprise we just couldn't score and Milan got lucky. I mean Kaladze 9 times out of 10 would have put that in the third tier.

Of course, I am expecting us to romp home with 12 points from 4 games, for Adriano to score 7 goals in that run, Recoba to steal the Golden Boot from Ronaldinho and of course Middlesborugh are the best team in Europe! Roll Eyes

Recoba to steal the Golden Boot....

More like the fookin "Golden Bandage" I'm with IjB on this one ..

I'm sure that one of the main reasons for the Inter fans discontent is the continuous bank rolling of the lazy Recoba as opposed to wholesome "triers" like Cruz.

Get rid Massimo..NOW !!!!!

You need to get rid of Mancini. I am convinced that he is very egotistical and plays favs.

Keep Adriano and build around him. Get rid of the dead wood, especially the Argentine dead wood, and also get a new coach. That's the way to go.

Suggested team for next year:

Cesar
Zanetti, Cordoba, Samuel,Maxwell
Figo (last season), Pizzaro, Cambiasso, Stankovic
Martins, Adriano

Bench: Toldo, Burdisso, Matrix, C. Zanetti, Cruz.

As far as I'm concerned, everyone else can go.

Not really sure about that - are you not considering who we might bring in - I just don't think Martins is good enough to command a first team place all the time. All the big clubs have four top strikers, we've really only got one in my opinion. Recoba's a waste of space, Martins is good but over rated and Cruz good on him this season but I don't think he's brilliant. Pizzaro is more use than Veron, but again, maybe we could get better - but then maybe the "better" will have a bit more sense! C Zanetti's off to Juve isn't he?

I agree. Martins is the most overated player in Serie A. I am not being racist - but he is a stereotypical african striker(there are a few exceptions e.g weah, kanu - but not many). Hes got pace to burn and a few quick dribbling and skillful movements but absolutely no brain whatsoever to go with it.

He has no idea when to shoot or pass. His movement is pathetic - and when i say this I mean he just runs all over the place like a headless chicken - he has no idea about timing a run to get on the end of a through ball. It is actually laughable watching him play. Martins must have the worst tactical sense in the whole of Serie A. I doubt you will find anyone worst.

Furthermore his finishing is pathetic - how many times has been alone with the GK and got his feet tangled up? He must have a 1 in 10 - one on one score ratio. If Inter have any sense they will sell Martins to a dummy club like Tottenham who will no doubt as per usual pay well over the odds for him.

Martins just sums up the joke that is 'Inter'!

I bet you also believe that Martins is about 30 years old rather than his stated 21

C.Z off to Juv? I missed this tragedy.

Martins is good for getting in among defenders. You can defend against skill if you're good enough, but someone as fast and clumsy as Martins is hard to combat. He did well in the CL against Milan a few year ago.

Why on earth do juventus want zanetti when they already have gianchedda and tacchinardi????

if you have 11 strikers, you can even ask them to defend. But if you have 11 defenders, you will never attack the other team.
