Given that they have a number of players to return, this is by no means over.

Thanks FB. This evil season has dragged on for too long. I salute its ending tomorrow.

Good luck tomorrow guys, lets hope the football decides it.

Thank you for your kind words. The feeling is mutual. I've already prepared for the worst so I won't be tearful if we should go down. However, I will be angry with the way our season has deteriorated (not exactly sure with whom I shall be angry but angry nonetheless!). Tonight there will be no winners, only losers and those only slightly better. All the best FP!

Comiserations. It is very true this was not about who was best it was about who was less bad. I'll say no more as I'm very very happy but there's no place for sore winners, all the best in B, Bologna.

Mr Presidente Giuseppe Gazzoni Frascara Hard cheese your complaints regarding Lottito didn`t matter You should have spent more effort worrying about Bolgona and doing something positive there is no way that squad should have been relegated, and it is the fans who suffer not a hick with bricks in his eyes like yourself Hard lines Bracey-you must be gutted

Thanks lads.
We'll be seeing Gio, Davide and Ivano down in B next year. There are some good teams so it will be hard. We're still playing and will try to "enjoy" it (if that's the right word).
Issues of financial regulation will no doubt be at the top of the agenda. Pagliuca, despite his age, deserves better than us and will move on, Meghni is a cert to go given his potential and Tare is off - not because he's any good ('cos he aint) - but because he is a top earner. I'd like to think Gamberini will stay but even he's not guaranteed. Like West Ham were after relegation, we'll be a new team in August.
If Carlo is still at the helm come August then I'll eat my arse for breakfast, I expect him to be gone by the end of the week. Something hasn't seemed right for a while, sacking Guidolin and replacing him with a 66-year-old and then selling our most prized asset (in my opinion anyway), Zaccardo.
Congratulations to Parma, they could have panicked after the first leg but they held their nerve, got the guys back from suspension and put us to the sword. I admire their battling qualities over this playoff saga, first rate.
It was easy to say I was not bothered if we went down earlier today but I do feel empty. It's the loyal fans who turn up every week with their sons and daughters, the very young kids can be seen to support us passionately because we play in a family-friendly arena. I am sad for them at this moment more than anyone because they didn't deserve it. To see a squad as good as this go down is excruciating.
Assuming Carlo goes, I think I can speak on behalf of most Bologna fans when I say that I plead with the new guy, whoever he may be, to restore a sense of pride and exciting football to the Rossoblu of Emilia Romagna. Good night all, God bless, and well done again to Parma...

Didn't matter but should have. The fact that teams like Lazio and Parma have been allowed to get away with what they have is a farce. Unfortunately for Bologna Frey had one of those matches last night and they had Legrottaglie in defence. Will Bologna accept relegation or will they try to claim the right to stay up instead of Genoa? We'll see.

Paying back massive tax debts over 23 years? Yeah, that's the sort of treatment everyone gets. Should have been relegated for "financial doping", as Gazzoni calls it, a long time ago.

The law is the law is it not? Besides wouldn`t it be better if it were paid over 23 years than not at all? In a world where many clubs just simply go bankrupt and lose their name it takes something a little more clever to carry on 105 years of tradition no matter what these backward idiots like Gazzoni and his chums from the Liga Nord say because it makes no difference a law can be applied to ALL and that is the sort of treatment everyone should get. I`m sure you wil agree about a certain club whose proven "doping" won them a scudetto now that`s the sort of treatment everyone gets 105 years and counting

LOL. I'm sure Bologna will get back up, we should lend Cruz back to you. He's not going to get any games at Inter unfortunately, he is a top player though.
Forca Barca! Campions 05/06, Campions D'Europa!

Meghni and Gamberini can go to Palermo, I don't mind who they go to as long as we get a representative fee for their qualities and potential offerings. The cash could be handy at this point.
Julio would be a welcome addition but he's way too good for Serie B. We're now looking towards the likes of Schwoch, Pepe and Frick for inspiration. Fans will have to reacquaint themselves with the dark old days if they're to cope with the absence of great players like Ingesson and Signori and presence of useless ones like Legrottaglie. Wherever that man goes, he spreads disaster!

President Lottito did mention Gazzoni at the press conference yesterday it was something like "He tried to dirty our faces even more when Lazio were on the ground but he is down now, in Serie B"

It's either Palermo or Piace for Pepe: every other team with aspirations of signing the player can FORGET IT! Schwoch has had a poor season, although Frick is a decent Serie B striker. Dario Hubner is out of contract (for now anyway) with Serie B newcomers Mantova, and he can "still do the job" in Serie B. (13 goals in 27 games in C1 for Mantova last season)
