Just came back from holiday to find that Bologna are relegated.Hard to believe.Don't think there was that much difference in quality between fourth from top to fourth from bottom in Serie A this season.Would expect to see all 3 relegated clubs bounce back as the quality in Serie B this season was poorer than last season [from what i have seen]and that was quite poor. Will they hang on to Cipriano ?.

A glimmer of hope, perhaps? If Torino can't find a bank to cover their £23M debts within the next few weeks, they'll be denied entry in to Serie A and one of Bologna, Treviso or Ascoli will take their place. Perugia, beaten in the play-offs by Torino, wont be considered for the spare Serie A place because they're currently fighting relegation to Serie C1 due to being £8M in the hole. Only in Italy...

And who knows, with Perugia dropping down a division, Napoli could find themsleves in Serie B

I won't hold my breath but if we do stay up then it'll thus be in embarrassing circumstances. We'll take it because every penny is needed but I won't be too upset if we stay in B.

Well, Messina and Toro have been ejected from the elite. Could this be our lucky omen?

|
And not just Messina and Torino. Genoa too, it seems are under the cosh.

Genoa seem to have been collared.
Let's wait and see how much punching power their owners hold.

And although out of Serie A influence, Venezia are in trouble. Never took to Zamparini anyway.

I heard Venezia may be extinct soon.
|

|
A sad story. It is to be hoped they will reform just as I Viola did and in fair circumstances as well.

Looks like there is a small light at the end of the tunnel for Venezia. Good.

A new start, a chance for redemption. So what happens? 0-0. Some teams never learn.

Woohoo, 2-1 vs Pescara in the first home match of the season. A few hairy moments at the end but the tiniest of platforms has been set in place.

1-1 at Brescia.

Reports say you were the better side - though we were somewhat weakend by a combination of suspensions/stupidity/arrogance and injury Still not to bad a result for either side - but we both need to get a good winning run together so that we can close the gap with that dodgy side from Bergamo

Early days yet, FB. Expect more to come from both sides.

2-1 win at home to Piacenza. Late winner keeps us rolling on

Bari 0-1 Bologna at half-time. Come on boys, don't make a "town halls" of it now!

And that's how it remained, thanks to Bellucci
