I see what you mesan about the 4 Star rating Davide, but, since I have added this message, it's gone up to 5 Stars! What does that mean? And no, Gordon, no catfish at the internet cafe!
Been busy today, so didn't have time to get to see the training session.
Tomorrow is Coppa Italia day, so I will be on the Curva Nord (if it doesn't rain - it was absolutely bucketting down here yesterday!) to see our second string take the field.
By the time I'm posting the game should be approaching the end of the first half...I ignore the score as I just logged in. I wish I was there...in Curva Nord!
Coppa game wasn't that interesting! Spent most of the first half texting my friend Tota - Piace fan in London - about the fact that there was only ONE Ternana fan in the Curva Sud! Couldn't believe it! It was only after about 5 minutes into the game that other fans came in - there was about 40 of them in the end.
Both the Gazetta and the Liberta' say Patrascu played well, but I don't think he did at all. We were dire - Obolo didn't even touch the ball and I would have fallen asleep had it not been sooooo cold!
Colder than London??? Surly not colder than Scotland!! I think Sunday you will enjoy a much different game...and warmer. Were our supporters good as Liberta wrote?
Yeah, the Ultra were very good - all 50 of them! Reboli is back and he gets them going. Last year, without him, it was all very different.
I'm looking forward to the Empoli game, although mostly because it is during the day and it should be a lot warmer! Maresca is out, which is a worry, as we have no replacement for him. Also Magone is a doubt, so, with Boselli also in trouble, we may see Tramezzani get the nod.
We should still be good enough to overcome Empoli though, with Dario and Di Francesco.
Marcolin in the middle looked very lazy against Ternana, but, then again, the entire team looked terrible.
Anyway, Forza "Fish Cats" as one of the Ultra banners says!
Satellite dish broken again... So pissed off I can't watch the game. Ivano please post as much as you can so that I can get a flavour of what has gone on. It is gonna be a tough sunday for me...
Eventually managed to fix it up just in time... What an other s*** game for the reds! Without Maresca we don't have clous of how to play. Agostinelli is not tacking the right decisions these weeks. This is going to be another tough season if they don't get back playing attacking football as they used to do at the beginning of the season (and before it). Marcolin is awful and a bloody cremonese too (I can't think that we swop him with Sacchetti!). Montano must pass on the ball!!!! Hubner needs some more luck. Di Francesco...why didn't jump on that ball??!! I stop now. Too upset. Wake up Piace!

In all my life of watching football, I have never seen a team play as badly as Piace did against Empoli! We were terrible! Marcolin could only hit long balls through the middle, Tosto was back to his usual rubbish self, Montano was running around like a headless chicken, unable to pass the ball, Hubner was arguing with everyone, Guardalben was rooted to the ground... it just goes on! And, to make matters worse, I had the most ignorant PC supporter in history sitting next to me commenting on everything that happended during the game. I think the only people who could hold their head high were Lamacchi, Cardone and Cristante - so much for the attacking football we played at the start of the season!
Without Marseca we have little or no chance - we need some more alternatives in midfield. Also, I can't understand why Agostinelli doesn't give Zerbini a go up front - he always nets 5 or 6 goals in training, and looks really, really good. Perhaps he doesn't play because he is a redhead - there can be no other explanation!
We can't loose to teams like Empoli at home! Now we have 3 difficult games - Atalanta away, and then Juve and Roma at the Garilli. I think we will only take 1 point from thsoe 3 games...
Tramezzani has had another bust up with the management team at Piace, so it looks like we will sell him once the transfer window opens again - Tosto must be smiling! We got rid of Mora for no reason, and if Tramezzani goes, we have no cover at left back. Abbate plays on the right I think, so perhaps Cristante can shift over for the Atalanta game - whatever happens, Tosto must be dropped! May pop down to PC to see the training session tomorrow (Wednesday) to see what plans Agostinelli has.
I wonna be optimistic....he'll be back full time in two weeks. After the seven hot days (Atalanta on Sun, Juve on Wed, and Roma on Sat). Three games where we must score.
No much to say part from that we were beaten 2-0 by an owful team that is Atalanta! We played with a very offensive team with all Hubner, Caccia and Montano at front, plus Tramezzani in the miedfield. We played better than Atalanta, but as I said they are not a good side and at the end of the day they score twice. It looks bad. I am fed up of Montano. We dont need these sort of "molto fumo poco arrosto" players (Ivano please...). Now we got to make points against Juve and Roma. We need Maresca but we also need more attention at the back and better plays at front. Happy with Tramezzani on the left, probably better than Tosto, and happy to finally see Stella on the pitch for a while. The enthusiam of the first games has gone. Hope it will get back along with Maresca.
Hi there lads - been a bit busy so unable to get to the www.
Boy, Piace were terrible against Atalanta! I knew we would get hammered, so I didn't even bother to go to the bar to pay my 3 Euros to see it!
We need to sell Caccia and get an alternative for Hubner, who is not on form - Agostinelli should stasrt playing Zerbini, I don't know what he is waiting for. I am 99% sure Grabbi will sign for us come the transfer window - we also need a replacement for Marsesca, Marcolin and the other guys just aren't up to it.
Juve tomorrow, and I made sure I got my tickets on the first days of sales. Not looking forward to it. Still, perhaps they will take pity on us and play their 3-string players seing as they have to play in Europe next week...
Then we have Rome on Saturday... I think we can get something out of that game, as they are playing in Europe the following week and really need to win.
Nice to see Tramezzani back - hopefully Agostinelli will now drop Tosto, play Cristante at the back and bring Campagnaro back on the right. It's odd - the time I saw Gurenko play I thought he played OK. What is Agostinelli up to...?
Oh well - Forza Piace! Leave for the UK after the Juve game, so back to some sort of normality...
And then eventually HE played...! What a player! Probably the best I ever seen with Piacenza's top. This guy will lead our national team to the next world cup. With Maresca on the pitch we are a side that could fight for a Europe qualification. Surprisingly, without him we are a side destinated to be relegated. A very disppointing score today. But another distruption at the back. Nevded should have no been left free...but bloody hell he always scores with us. We played ok, but it seems that we have a big problem at front. We can't score, as Hubner is not doing well at all. We need him back in the net. We need to win on saturday. Otherwise we will letterally be in the sh.t!
hopefuly maresca can stay fit this season. it seems like the team is built round him. its amazing the difference a win can make especially if Darione gets back to his scoring ways. Hope the performance if not the result was better this time. Poor Roma!
Maresca looks a superb young player and i was surprised when Juve loaned him out to Piacenza this year. He can definitely be a major asset to Juve in the future.
