Nice to have Serie B back on a Sunday this weekend - typical that, when this happens, Piace play Pescara away and it is too far to travel and get back home in time for work on Monday...

Hi Davide, good news: I will be able to go to see our last 2 home games of the season!
Do you still go? Or have you got fed up, along with some 70,000 other Piacentini...?

Apologies for the late response Ivano but your info was really helpful for the lads. Despite a few funny looks from a few on the Curva Nord they had a great time and thankfully kept more updated with txts such as: "Piacenza 1-0 up, about 4000 here, about 800 Brescia" and so on. Cheers again.
Forza Toro

I think I saw the guys after the game trying to catch a bus... Shame that I couldn't sto and didn't read this messages before... Hope they managed to get a lift somehow.
By the way apologies for not having been in touch but not easy to post from new job in Milan. I missed many games this season, but I am looking fwd to buy a season tichet for next season. Hopefuly it will be as cheap as last year. Are you buying it Ivano. I wil in gradinata again probably.
Glad to read from Moggi's intercepted phone calls transcriptions that he could control all serie B games but Piacenza !!
However I am very disappointed the way the inqury is procedeing. All the players, managers, referes involved tend to deny everything and want to make us believing that the football system is clean. F*** them !
I hope the right decisions and punishments will be taken, with no grace.
Be in touch Ivano for a summer drink at Faxal.

Hi Davide,
saw one Piace game "in the flesh" this season, and will only see one Piace game "in the flesh" next season too... the Modena away game! I am moving there (Sassuolo) in July, so won't be able to make the trip up the Via Emilia to Piacenza on Saturday's - as it is, what with work commitments, I haven't got the time to make the trip from where I live now to PC on match days!
I was actually supporting Modena in the Serie B play offs, as that way I would have got myself a season ticket there and watched Serie A football on Sunday. (But I think I will have to make do with a season ticket at Sassuolo - in the Serie C2 play offs, and heading for C1!)
I imagine Piace will have a "BOGOF" (Buy One Get One Free) offer next season - seems like the only way we can get fans to go...
"Calciopoli" is indeed "fizzling out" – so much for the promise to clean Italian football up! I bet no one gets relegated either. (Which wouldn’t be bad news for us really, as, if Juve, Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina get relegated, we can forget about promotion to Serie A for at least another 2 seasons!)

I wonder what you are going to do there... But that area is a very nice one, and Modena is definitely more sparkling then PC. Also Bologna is very close and it is a beautiful place, especially for social life.
Maybe you want to take note that I have a very good mate in Modena who's a half english/italian like you. He graduated in Aberdeen and got master in Oxford. He's now in Modena working as english teacher and into the translation business. His family (english) moved to MO years ago to open an English school. More than happy to put you in contact. He's a very nice guy, but not a football fan. I brought him to the stadium for the first time for the last MO-PC game.
If ITalian football won't get cleaned up, I will emigrate again. Fed up of this bloody banana republic!

What a coincidence...! Looks increasingly likely nothing will happen with Calciopoli: where you going to emigrate to now? Know anything about this "Serata Curva Biacorossa" (or something like that!) to be held on June 21? Another one of these "waste of time" initiatives...?
| |

Know nothing and yes surely another waste of time...for us. Maybe the positive aspect is that things like these help youngesters to get closer to the curva, so let it happen, and although it won't make a change it can still be a proactive meeting.
Where to emigrate to? France (here now) UK (there tomorrow) Germany (there last week) - well any place seems better than this banana republic.
Get in touch with Robert in Modena, he's a smart guy.

| |

I will probably go to this "ultrà" thing - make sure you bring Robert's contact details with you then.
| |

I won't be there Ivano. I'm in aberdeen until thursday.

Davide, you have got to be the worst Piacenza supporter ever! The event has been CANCELLED anyway! (Some sort of "protest" against some more "defide" for a game 2 seasons ago...)
| |

what??? more diffide ??? any details? is this something new of these days?
| |

Not new "diffide", something to do with some old ones from Pistoia V Piace of a few years back, but I have no idea what that is all about.
Interesting to see what sort of team we build for next season: think we will struggle whoever we sign, as Serie B looks tough next season: Napoli are certain to win promotion, Genoa will be up there, and can't really see Bologna, Brescia and Verona getting it wrong again... and that's without even thinking of what Serie B life with Juventus, Fiorentina, Lazio and Milan would be like!

at least next season the garilli should host some more exciting games and be more croweded than past years

Hi Davide, been a bit busy and unable to post as much as I would like on here...
Looks like we have made a few good singings (Gemiti, Simon, Nef), but have lost Bocchetti, which I think is a big blow.
Were you at the ultrá meeting the other night...?
| |

Been to see any pre season games Davide? I guess we look OK, but still need a signing or 2.
| |

bocchetti and sardo were big losts, but I think they deserve the serie A.
The good news is that ultras will move to gradinata, I am glad as this was my idea over a year ago and finally other people realised that this is the only way to get a decent support until the new curva is built.
Diusgusted by the court of appeal sentence. This is italy, banana republic. No hopes.
Slightly confident for teh season ahead...we might have a good team regardless the low average age....
Anyway, posting from thailand...just bought the original puma italy world cup t-shirt for 10 euros !!! So many fottbsl tops here, most of them copied, but very good quality ones... Will love one day to see Piacenza t-shirts in these sort of places...!
Ciao...and good summer. Keep me updated, I am away til end of august
| |

I don't think Sardo will be a big loss, but Bocchetti will. However, Nef hasn't settled in at right back yet and we also still need really good cover at left back...

any more news? scores from friendly matches? what was the result against chievo?
| |

Piacenza played 2 friendlies before you went on "holiday" - they won one 16-0 and the other 18-0.
Piacenza also played Chievo, and lost 3-2 (Patrascu free kick and goal from Simon).
Coppa Italia game against Grossetto coming up soon.
Other than that, no news. No more transfer activity, although we are after Lazzari from Atalanta: they want only a straight loan, while we want half of his registration in return for half of Degano's registration. Atalanta won't "trade".
