BTTMMQU: My home PC being infected by a particularly nasty virus last night that has totally disabled it and made it unusable. Only options seem to be recovery disk, which wipes out everything and returns it to factory settings, or a new PC.

But my mate Gunther told me that www.bigboysinboots.com was virus free, although it may have been www.up-kiltdreams.co.uk that's twisted my browser. Well, I suppose I'll have to make do with the picture of Ian Thorpe I've got stuck on my bedroom ceiling until Dell delivers...

I rather fear that one of those links might emulate Gio's posting of 'hotblondeswithdonkeys.com' as a spoof URL. How we laughed at his discomfort when he discovered that the link worked...
Not that *I'm* going to see if either link works, thank you...

I am tired of our useless governments trying to scare the populace about Iran and nukes and also the bird flu. Please, stop the rhetoric to scare us and take away our rights.

Are you in the US Duncan? Has bird flu flapped it's way over there now too? It's over here, my mate lives up near the place it broke out in Scotland. I'd be more scared of the pillocks who are meant to be acting on it - he said there are dead birds lying about (that might not have anything to do with bird flu, might be bird mumps but...) that TV crews are coming along and filming over the space of about five days - while the gimps who are meant to be picking the things up... well aren't

Oohhh , dead birds. Let's turn the world upside down. You should read what they are conjuring up for the masses in case of a bird flu supposed outbreak. Quarantines, forced innoculations, new "safe" immunizations, etc..... Sounds like a deal with the govt's and the multi national pharmaceutical corps in the making. Or already made. So, Iran has a nuke. We have 1000's of them and can annihalate them back to the stone age. QUIT TRYING TO SCARE THE SHEEP!

I wouldn't try, do you know dogs here can be legally shot by farmers for doing this? I'm always a bit wary when I take mine anywhere near sheep, they are good really, they just run into a crowd of bullocks for some stupid reason, and I have to go and get them back gingerly

I think they now have 'enriched uranium', which may or may not be a big step towards becoming nuclear. Here's some facts about Uranium: Uranium is a very heavy (dense) metal which can be used as an abundant source of concentrated energy.
It occurs in most rocks in concentrations of 2 to 4 parts per million and is as common in the earth's crust as tin, tungsten and molybdenum. It occurs in seawater, and could be recovered from the oceans if prices rose significantly.
It was discovered in 1789 by Martin Klaproth, a German chemist, in the mineral called pitchblende. It was named after the planet Uranus, which had been discovered eight years earlier.
Uranium was apparently formed in super novae about 6.6 billion years ago. While it is not common in the solar system, today its radioactive decay provides the main source of heat inside the earth, causing convection and continental drift.
The high density of uranium means that it also finds uses in the keels of yachts and as counterweights for aircraft control surfaces (rudders and elevators), as well as for radiation shielding.
Its melting point is 1132°C.
Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Japan, South Korea, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland and Ukraine all get 30% or more of their electricity from nuclear reactors. The USA has over 100 reactors operating, with capacity of almost three times Australia¹s total, and supplying 20% of its electricity. The UK gets almost a quarter of its electricity from uranium.
