Good luck Rosa. Brum's halls of residence are good fun. Best to get one in the Lake area such as Mason Hall. As a first year you ought to be a priority case but I imagine with so many being crammed into universities these days things have changed from when I was an undergraduate.
Granted, as a Gooner, we have far more pressing issues right now. But why does Gallas wear number 10, when number 3 was free due to Cole's departure? It just doesn't look right. Your centre-back shouldn't be number 10.
My original post should have said 'last wednesday too'. Apparently they will find me somewhere to live, it's just the wait taht's the most annoying thing since i need to know whether or not to buy (or steal my brother who's gone to france's) kitchen utensils and bedding
Gio, I believe that Shackleton Hall has been updated since our time at Brum, and the place now has ensuite rooms and - I jest not - some 'studio appartments'. Rather different from how I remember it on the one or two visits I made there...
BTTMUQU: I had to go up to Coventry for an interview yesterday, on the way back all trains to London were cancelled and I had to spend 4 hours wandering around in the most boring place on earth. Itis so dull and full of nothingness
it *is* a void of nothingness and misery, not just like one... Why else d'you think that the fouding fathers of the city's University called it the University of Warwick rather than the University of Coventry?
You must be able to spend time in Coventry profitably - go to the cathederal and paint 'Luftwaffe please come back and bomb here' on the roof, for instance, or pay a visit to the transport museum to see their collection of 1970s Triumph cars, perhaps?
Zeds - you should have spent your 4 hours in The Rocket next to the station. You'd have met some great characters in there, willing to kick you back to the big smoke faster than one of Richard Branson's finest.
I was most upset to read about the people killing stingrays in Queensland in revenge for the death of Steve Irwin. Quite what the man upstairs has in mind by allowing such individuals to exist and contribute to the genepool is anyone's guess.

Warwick's a pretty boring place as well, unless you like: "Ooh we have a castle, did we mention that?"
Cov's quite good for shopping, also all the new fancy buildings are very pretty.
Originally posted by Shaker Beads: Tavano going to Valencia - I wanted Inter to sign him this season, quite a big part of me thinks his signing would have made more sense than Ibra's or Crespo's, well him plus one of them like. Plus given Italian players record at that club in particular I predict he'll play seven games at the start of the season, then be dropped and end up scrambling round for a loan move back to Udinese or Parma or someone
I knew it!
Mind you I don't think I was the only one to predict this happening. What a joke. He says they're prejudiced against Italian players, I can't understand why he went then and I can't understand what they then bought him for...hang on a minute! The Valencia manager isn't called Samuel Allardico is he? Or maybe Kevinez Bondez
BTTMUQU - getting up at five am and spending a packet on the train fare last week to go up to Manchester for an interview and finding out today I didn't get the job. Smegheads

I've only been to Coventry once (I think) I saw them play Liverpool years ago at Highfield Road, Liverpool won something like 6 - 1. It was ages ago when the scousers wore that kit with the little white flash things on.
I'm sure there are worse places - Hull springs to mind. Haven't been there for years but bloody hell it was a dump when I did
Leicester, Derby, Liverpool off the top of my head.
Cov's not bad at all - it sees more tourists than any other UK city after London, York and Bath, admittedly most come to see Stratford nearby, but the Cathedral ain't bad.
I'm in Cov next Wednesday for a meeting - from what I recall it's nowhere near as bad as Blackburn, where I've spent many a depressing day and night on business.
