Sorry Dels, I forgot about this thread.

The book is...'Led Zeppelin, The Story of a band and their Music 1968-1980', author is Keith Shadwick.

Me Mum bought it me, bless her.

Jimmy Page modestly states on the front cover: "The four musicians that eventually came together as Led Zeppelin were a gift from on high".

GREAT photos in the book!

Be safe out there though mate, I felt the back sliding away today ...respect to ya though, at least your not a fair weather funster Wink

How many miles to the gallon is that? 180 plus is my limit on the GS. I'm going to have to wait at least 6months to get a 'Cat. Missus needs a job Frown and then we need a house move. Which means selling two properties. Make that 9months Frown.

I'm not a fairweather biker because I have no choice: car died just before my test so I had to pass. Missus has a car (very nice Alfa) but if I take that to work it would take two and a half hours Eek. No way, Carlos. But with my heated grips fitted it's not as an ordeal as it was.

Heated grips? You pansy Razz

Just kiddin, I was reading in Performance Bike about the heated vests that are available, heated boxers! Big Grin Very tempted!

The Cat'll do about 42-48 mile to the gallon, not great but compared to cars, and for the Lamborghini-smoking performance, you simply cannot complain!

What kind of Alfa has the missus got? My bro has a 1.8 156, and had to have a £2000 engine rebuild because the PLASTIC (effin ridiculous) empellor on the water pump broke!

I barely use my Celica anymore, be as well punting it if I didnt love it so much Frown

Still Black n Blue..

Missus has a two litre imported 147. Very nicely 'specced', big alloys, wide tires, multi-cd changer. Think it's a Twin Spark but not sure. Just know it's quite fast Big Grin. In fact she drives it like a demon but can't reverse for toffee!

Maybe we should start a 'transport' thread...

I don't have that one but I've read about it. Reviewers are saying its probably the definitive Led Zep book. I think I'll invest in it soon.
