As we all know Lippi regulary reads the football italia forum for inspiration.

So let's SAY NO to Inzaghi and Vieri to go to the World cup.

Please Please Please let Inzaghi break his leg soon.

Yes He may be scoring again but he needs 3 shots to score remember.

Hes a diving week little rat of a man and has no place in the italy squad.

And that prat Vieri should even be considered as he was the reason Italy have been knocked out of the last 2 international competitions.

1. missing an open goal from what was it 3 yrds against Korea.

2. Not being able to jump high enough to clear ibrahimovic's backheal (euro 04) despite being what 6,3!!!!

Vieri can hardly be faulted for failing to keep out Ibrahimovic's back-flick. It was perfectly in the top of the net - Vieri couldn't have stopped it.

Pippo Inzaghi simply has to go to the World Cup. He is a veritable goal machine. Can't see how Lippi can continue to ignore him...

Lucarelli is no doubt a better striker and should be taken instead.

Vieri could have got zlatan's backheal without problem. If you are 6'3 it's not difficult.

Inzaghi provides nothing for the team, he's always on the floor or offside, can't pass the ball or win . He's just there waiting for a tap in.

Say no to Vieri but YES to Inzaghi. Inzaghi is a great Striker if he has good form and very dangerous in the penalty box. He can always score when he gets support and pass. He can be another weapon. I would say Yes to Inzaghi rather than Iaquinta

As James Richardson said, it was the only time in the entire competition when Christian Vieri didn't manage to head the ball over the bar.

I don't want to see Vieri go, Inzaghi on the other hand is someone good to bring on later in a game if you need a goal. Particularly if he's going into the tournament on a rich vein of form.

Is it just me or does Vieri have the worst technique around. He looks so uncomfortable on the ball!

Also how can you put a man on the italy squad who faked an italian accent in a tv interview I think WC 02??...was the funiest thing i've ever seen or heard.

I remember when I first heard Vieri speak in an interview. It was the short lived 'Onside' sports show on BBC1, hosted by John Inverdale.

I was shocked to discover he sounds like Joe Mangle out of Neighbours, but knowing that he grew up in Australia, I should have expected it...

This really confused me. I heard him in 2002 and it was one word then "ughhh..." + Iti accent, and then I heard him before the Scotland game and he spoke perfect English with quite a strong Australian accent.


ONCE I LIVED IN CAPITALS, MY LIFE INTENSELY PHALLIC. but now i'm sadly lowercase with the occasional italic.
