Same as Mezz. The Miracle of CDS assumes you have the knowledge of 'soccer' of the average American, which can become frustrating for football fans such as you and I.
Parks' effort is better, though he seems to get bored towards the end, and therefore so did I...
the above two are great reads. Also quite interesting is Greg Burkes"Parma;notes from a year in Serie A" The book on the superga air disaster is pretty poor.Ive also just got "once upon a time in naples"about the Maradona years, should be fascinating.
Maradona's daughter looks well fit - I don't know how given the fact her dad's a fat ugly little chimp (and I feel bad to the chimps there).
A History of Calcio is a really good read isn't it? I've never got through a book that size that quick before. The books Mezz and MLV mentioned are good, don't think they're too expensive so worth a read for sure. The Castel di Sangro one is like MLV says, but in a way it's good because he's more naive (and a big straight forward American in a country where it's "complicated" to buy some stamps from the post office) and probably does things that people who'd been into football for ages would never think of doing. Parks' one is good, if you can put up with a bit of not really offensive but daft partisanship from time to time
