Why thank you, Duncan . But we know that records like this don't count for anything unless it results in Lo Scudetto at the end of the season. So it's still all up for grabs, mate!

Reports that Mexes is wanted by Milan. They can wany all they like but I just cant see him leaving. Especially after we stuck by him through his opening disastrous start to his Roma career.
If he does leave (which would only be for the money considering Milans current problems) then any tiny amount of faith I had in player loyalty will be gone forever...
I wanted to say a couple of things before the New Year kicks in:
1) Happy New Year Roma fans
2) I can't believe more of you aren't gutted about the demise of Serie A coverage on Bravo. I am absolutely gutted
3) Duncan, I love your posts, but I'm a liberal, and I wouldn't be surprised if lots of others on the thread are also liberals. And Roma's history is tied up with the left-wing. Shall we leave politics out of the thread?
4) I can't help thinking that Roma should win this scudetto. The only serious competition is Inter, and I am afraid I don't rate them. I like Spalletti, and I think he is smart to cool down expectation among Roma's excitable tifosi, but I feel we have neither underachieved nor overachieved under our coach - we are doing as you would expect. I think there is some room for improvement.
5) I'll say it again, I am gutted at the demise of Football Italia on British TV. I have been watching it on and off for about 13 years. The past few days I have been kicking myself for all the games I missed over the years. I thought the coverage would go on forever. I so miss Gazzetta on a Saturday lunchtime. Sad to say, it was the fulcrum of my weekly routine.
Can't wait for the season to get back underway, hopefully with the addition of Tavano to the squad and maybe one of two more (wouldn't mind seeing a new keeper and left back). Where do Roma train by the way?
Seems as though Spalletti is set for a contract extension - at last. I would have hated for AC Milan to bag him...
Does anyone know what else we are in the market for, this transfer window. I feel like we need another defender; perhaps one that could play left-back... and ofcourse we have the age-all discussion of whether or not Doni is good enough!
