Vucinic could thrive next season as he had no real chance this season due to injury but also Spalletti must have something in him f he wihed to keep him.

I'd pefer Chivu to stay as said it would keep our defence much stronger and will possibly be stronger next season but it seem inevitable that he will leave.

I dont see why we can't push for Amelia as he constantly talks of his desire to play for Roma again and will possibly be the future italian no.1

I should know more about Esposito, but I must admit that he's barely more than a familiar name to me. The key question for me is: is he quick? I think we often take the field with only one quick player, Mancini.

I'm surprised Tavano didn't work out. I thought he was fantastic at Empoli.

It's a funny thing about Chivu and Mexes - they're great players individually, but don't seem to gel as a pairing. I'd prefer to keep them both, but if we have to lose Chivu, I won't be entirely surprised if the Mexes-Juan partnership turns out better.

Juan wasnt exactly inspiring in Brazil's first game in the current tournament. Then again neither was Doni (who I'm sure you all know isnt highly rated by me).

Esposito had a great season 2 years ago and scored a bag full of goals. But then so did Langella and he has gone right off the boil. Watched Esposito in a match for La Nazionale and he didnt impress much but then they never do in there first games for the Azzurri.

The deal might be off now anyway if reports are to be believed so we could be back to square one!

We really do need good competition for Mancini and Taddei who are usually either really good or really bad. Wouldnt mind taking a chance with Robben if he is to leave Chelsea.

Barca and Real Madrid cant possibly buy every player that comes up for sale...

Oh yes... 99% of what you read is lies and it just becomes boring... Im off to buy my season ticket at the weekend. At least the prices havent gone up but i cant see why i have to pay 365 euro yet if i was a lazio fan id only pay 110 euro to sit in the same seat... i dont understand why we have to pay so much more..

I hav to renew my season ticket this week..fansa arent happy about the prices. We pay so much more than Lazio fans. I dont understand why when we are using the same stadium. I pay 365 euro yet if i was a lazio fan i would only pay 110 euro.

Hopefully the Chivu issue will finally be resolved today.

RGirl - would you rather pay 110 for your ticket and swap the Roma squad for the Lazio squad....?

i know... but women get discounts every where else! For Lazio where I sit is part of the curva.. for Roma it is Distinti... it just makes no sense!

I was looking at the prices yesterday and was wondering why there was a rather significant gap between the curva and the distini.

So it's Esposito in, Chivu out. I'm not sure what to make of that, except that Chivu is someone who has spent his career at top clubs, whereas Esposito has spent his at second-rate clubs.

Let's hope Esposito is in the Tonetto/Cassetti mould - an underrated gem shrewdly spotted by Spalletti.

I think Esposito will be ok. He has played for the Nazionale. What is happening to Montella? I guess Willy left? Seems Roma have an agreement with Real but Chivu has to agree. Problem is that his agent already accepted 1.5 million from Inter... Rumour is that we will sign Modesto from Reggina by the end of the day. When will we sign a big name player???

This whole affair with Chivu is reaching ridiculous levels. A player with his attitude doesn´t deserve to put on the Roma jersey. I don´t really care where he goes just as long as he leaves. What stupid moron.

He will get hell from the fans if he stays. He is stupid. The fans want him to have to play for the Primavera team as punishment!

I don't see how his attitude can be criticised. He's out of contract next summer. He doesn't want to play in Spain. Roma received a decent enough bid from Inter.

It's just a case of Roma playing silly buggers.

You can't expect fans to behave rationally. THey feel betrayed when one of their own tries to leave. Roma players in particular would be wise to make sure they have a definite move lined up before they start talking about leaving. Chivu has left himself in the worst of all worlds now - stuck with Roma and despised by the fans.

What kind of stick will he get at Trigoria?

Its just like the case with Cassano all over again... the same will probably happen with Mancini. He will get hell from the fans, proabbaly wont play for the first team and will therefore risk not playing at the European Championships next year.

Sad to see Montella go.. and with Okaka gone who goes that leave us with?! Vucinic! noooo!

The lesson of the Chivu debacle is surely that we need to renew players' contracts when there are two years remaining. If they don't extend their contract at that time, we sell them.

Otherwise, when there's just a year left on the contract, their agents can hold us to ransom, as Chivu's is doing now.

The greed of these players is unbelievable. I just knew Mancini would be next. He might be a great player but i've never liked his attitude and i for one would not be bothered whether he stays or goes.

These players just pimp themselves out to the highest bidder. Its not like they are at some mid table club. Roma offers them a chance to win the league and play in the Champs League. What more do they want..........?

You'd think 2 million a year is a good enough wage or do they need more so they can complete their clasic car collection...?
