I thought Chivu said he would stay with Roma and is just waiting for to finalise things. Do you guys not think we should give Mido a chance under Spalletti (if he recovers from his injury)?

Vicenzino should attend the retreat but I dont think he'll be in full training.... We need to sell Ferrari, Mido and Kuffour asap as we need the money to start buying new players.. however i doubt there will be much action on the transfer market until all of the teams know which league/ european cup they will be playing in.

Wonder if the scandal means players are less likely to want to play in Italy. Also i doubt anything major will happen until the world cup ends as well.

Slightly baffled as to why we are apparently getting rid of Kuffour. I remember reading early last season, when the team were struggling, that he was the only player not booed by the mob at Trigoria.

Admittedly Kuffour tailed off towards the end of the season and the Chivu-Mexes partnership is stronger, but he is an experienced and reliable backup. And at his age, he's not going to fetch any money on the transfer market.

Perhaps we're paying him too much or he is looking too injury-prone?

I didn't know there was an incident with Montella. If that's the case, fair enough to ship him.

Now Gattuso is injured there must be a chance we will have Perrotta-De Rossi in the centre for la nazionale. If so I can wear my Roma shirt during games instead of my Azzurri one. Perrotta deserves it anyway.

Q for Roma-based people: how easy is it to get from Roma to Pompeii on public transport?

I think the transfer market will open up after the WC and the Calciopoli verdicts. If not many big names want to come to Italy, it could be decent for Roma due to our excellent youth system.
