I hope the club show a little more ambition now that the CL looks guaranteed. There will be some amazing bargains available from the clubs that go down, who will have no option but to sell and may have players who want to stay in Italy. Roma are one of the big three in the new Serie A, and I don't see why we can't be in the market for the likes of Cannavaro, Buffon and Zambrotta.
There are less obvious buys we should be after, too - how about people like Pasquale and Frey from the viola?
And in terms of holding on to our existing squad, well, the most obvious suitors for the likes of Mancini are out of the equation now.
Great news for Roma. And Lazio get to revisit their spiritual home - Serie B! Perhaps Di Canio will be able to play on indefinitely for them; as he gets older, they'll simply drop down the leagues and he will remain competitive.
I think the majority of Fiorentina's recent purchases singed a 'Serie B waiver', or something like that, meaning they agreed to play there if we went down.
Not so sure that Frey had this in his contract, as I can't recall whether all this had come out in the open when we signed him.
Apparently, Luis Jimenez wouldn't accept the clause which is why we let him return to Ternana.

Actually, I would really like to see Chievo win it for the pure romance factor, and seeing as I've been there a couple of times and watched them play at the Bentegodi, but I'm sure they'll settle for second ahead of Inter in their usual third
