If we have to spend our money on Vucinic, Iaquinta, or Carriocolo[?], I would rather be cheap. Get a GOOD goal scorer or don;t get one at all. Just go with Vinny and Okaka. As for Buffon, it would cost too much. Heck yeah I would want him, but Milan can outspend us anytime.

....I would rather it be monopoly money. I like Vucinic but Lecce are in a position of power in terms of the fee now they are still in Serie A. There's loads out there so why can't we find a strong centre forward?

No fake. Being in the CL should let us set our sights a little higer.

Well, the Calciopoli stars are being snapped up left, right and centre, but we're apparently not in the bidding. I can't help thinking it will be a wasted opportunity if not a single one ends up at Roma.
I think we're in danger this summer of killing ourlseves with a lack of ambition. Good as our current squad is, we're surely only one or two players away from being scudetto favourites, given the circumstances?

Well... best of luck to Roma for the upcoming Scudetto and Champions League. Roma will be high up in my supporting order for the Champions League.

We aren't going anywhere without at least 2 class signings. One being a top forward

Sky sports reckon Trezeguet is a £13m target for Roma. That's serious pennies if it's true.

no way I would give 13 mill for Trezeguet. I repeat -- no way!

Whos this Tulli then?
|

|

I actually think Trez might fit the bill - but I'm not sure how old he is? If he's older than 27, I'd say forget it.
Strikers peak between 23 and 27 and we don't want another Bati (much as I loved him) who will have one great season and then fade quicker than a geraitric marathon runner

Good to see Cerci and Rosi on the scoresheet. Adriano for Mancini? Discuss.......

I watched the game on saturday and i was impressed! Mancini is already in great form. Tulli was great as were the other young players Cerci and Okaka... Looks like we have so great youth players coming through. A good win for us considering they are in the Champions League. So far we havent conceeded any goals in pre-season.
Great to hear that Montella will be back earlier than planned... mid-august..
Rumours here continue that we are after Trezeguet...
We should be playing Juve in a friendly again this summer (part of the Emerson deal) and maybe Arsenal...

Playing Arsenal would be pretty good,

*didn't meant to post without finishing my sentence* I'm not so sure about this Trezeguet deal. I've never liked him as a player, he's lazy and although scores a lot never seems to work. And with our more flowing football where the whole team is involved i'm not sure he'd fit in.

Please please please NO Trezeguet. I dont rate him at all and nor did France during the World Cup. I'd prefer Iaquinta any day to Trezeguet, he is lazy and also gets disheartened easily when things dont go his way...
Deep down - everyone wishes they were Italian...

I'd perfer Crespo to Trezeguet, even if he is ex lazio.

Sorry, really bland point but why did they organise a friendly with Juve? Like it's a massive attraction for the fans! They play twice in proper competition during the season - if it was a small club who sold a player and included a friendly against a big club in the deal I could understand it but I don't get this one. Right... er bye!

good old trade, it breaks down so many barriers I guess too but I've always had a different take on friendlies in my managerial experience (Championship Manager). Set up about three or four at home, a couple against some minnows so you can give the kids and stiffs a run out and they can hopefully hammer them and get a bit of confidence. Then take all the lads off somewhere nice and warm for a pre-season tour. (I am glad I got help for my Championship Manager disease) I've always had a funny feeling about friendlies, it's the Scot in me coming out I know but I don't understand why you have to pay full or nearly full price to watch, I don't really understand why you have to pay anything, they're not competing for anything! (well meaningful anyway) Some Premier League teams still charge kids not far off 20 quid to watch a friendly, gah!
