personally the match-fixing scandel has put italian football on the edge, but i do believe the seria a can move forward and create a new era inside italy. with uefa visiting italy this week to decided weather italy should get the right to host euro 2012 it could be a perfect way to start the era, think about it ...

If italy are hosts for 2012 it would mean new improved facilities and stadiums, more popularity in the italian game and then a increase in attendences, clean up of the game, new followers, look what happened to germany, they now have about 12 excellent stadiums which before the world cup were only half decent, now they have average attendences of 41,000

plus i think the return of napoli and genoa and juve is crucial to the game to add a flare and rivalry within the league, think about it ...

adding these 3 teams next season would mean up to 6 teams could win the league

roma
ac milan

then juve could be outsiders and napoli and genoa could maybe catch uefa and midtable, and most importantly they have a massive following , i mean napoli had over 50,000 for thier final game in seria c and genoa and juve have big following's too

the italian game needs to move forward and i do feel now is the time

I think Nopoli and Genoa will nedd 2-3 seasons to stand and build back in Serie A.then we have some other good teams like Palermo. and if Lazio and Roma return to a top team, Serie A must be the best league in the world.and also Viola!

yes you do make a good point. It did work in germany and if we get the tournament and get our act together we may see great thing happening in italy too
yes it would be good to see juve napoli etc in serie a again. it will be more comperitiev but also however because the larger teams have been punished this year it will give a chance for the smaller ones to catch up. So maybe this season you will see a new team emerging.

yes they do look promising, i want to see a southern team up there. We need it!
