I watched the match in Siena because i have been studying there, after the win the Campo was flooded with 1000s of Italian fans! But does anyone know why they all honk their car and air horns to the tune of 7 nation army by the white stripes? me and my friends found it very odd!

I've noticed during a couple games that fans cheer a song that sounds or is like that. Hmmm.

It's a chant first used by Roma fans this season, but has also been adopted as the unofficial anthem by the Azzurri supporters (and players) in the World Cup.

The Azzurri fans seem to have stolen our song! We originally tried out the song at Roma-Empoli and then it become the song of the derby and our 11 consecutive wins!

it annoyed me on the radio when the woman said 'italy's song' it's Roma's dammit! i've sung it with a bunch of romans to spalletti, don't take that from me!

Roma left for the summer retreat today... without Totti, Perotta and De Rossi...they got the biggest cheers at circo Massimo last night! They were all wearing a roma hat! Cannavaro shaved off De Rossi's hair on the plane on the way back!

Fans in in Roma on Tuesday night at the Circo Massimo had added the lyrics SIAMO CAMPIONI DEL MONDO to the bass line try it it ain't easy!

It's not that hard. You just have to squash the syllables in campinoi and stretch those in mondo.

We were singing many versions of the song at Circo massimo sunday and monday night.. most of which i cant repeat here!

If that had been a Lazio player doing what Totti did we would have loved it,in England any players expressing themsleves or having a bond with the fans is discouraged.Its a shame
