And he has legs like a frog.

Ireland v France was a much better game. The Scotland v Wales game resembled a Varsity match - lots of huffing and puffing but little end result. Fortunately not all rugby is like that. You ought to see Blackheath. Same division as Stourbridge. And we've played some pretty good rugby this season.

City won the above game 2-0 though it passed me by a lot of the time cos it was so hot and teh sun was beating down on us I was on the verge of falling asleep at times - thankfully the sun went over the stand for the second half and made it a bit easier.

Bit of a random one but I think I'm going to see Hereford United v Shrewsbury Town this Saturday. Wanted to go to Millwall and watch City (fingers crossed) win promotion (not many cooler places you could watch City win) but tickets sold out in a flash, bah.

I'll be at Charlton v Spurs on Monday.

Needed to beat either Reading or Sheff Utd (or both), but for me our 0-0 draw at home to Watford sums our season up. And if you can't beat them up home, you deserve to go down. Still, will have some exciting new places to visit next season like Scunthorpe, Colchester and Plymouth Frown

I prob would go back there actually, isn't too bad on the train from here in Southampton. Went in the Cup in '94, with the winner going through to face Man U in the quarters, seems such a loooong time ago now. Thankfully we beat you in the replay after drawing 1-1 at Ashton Gate Smile

Yeah, Southampton's not too far - I always think it's a bit strange how many Southampton fans there are in this neck of the woods though - there's quite a few really. I'm looking forward to the Championship a lot - be happy to just consilidate - last time we went up we completly ballsed it up spending a fortune at the same time! Looking forward to playing some big clubs too - I'm going to try and get to a couple away games as well - always wanted to go to Hillsborough, Southampton might be fun but I'm always a bit put off by modern lego brick grounds

Diatribe, thought I'd say hello. I'm also a Charlton season ticket holder, so down there tonight to see us take on the Spurs. I agree that if you can't beat Sheff utd or Watford then your never going to survive in the Premier league. Lets hope we go out on a good note as the Tottenham are going to give us stick all evening.

Oh and out of interest you spoke to Shaker Beads about the cup game at Bristol in 94. I was at that game and recall a bit of a punch up as we left the stadium after the game. High spirits of the FA Cup I guess Wink

I was only 6 at the time but know there was a bit of trouble, a few coaches got bricked too. Don't get to as many games as I used to, was a season ticket holder for 7 years but am Uni here in Southampton now. A dozen games this season isn't too bad though.

Anyway, this has been coming for months and am pretty upset, but have never been more proud to be a Charlton fan than I was after the game with the few thousand that stayed afterwards to clap the players. Shame so many decided to bugger off. 'Always look on the bright side of life.'

Gloucester v Leicester at Twickenham tomorrow.

Despite being against the play-offs I've got to go and, hopefully, see us claim what is rightfully ours.

As an honourary member of the Seaside Mafia, I'm off to (The New) Wembley for Blackpool v Yeovil on Sunday. Could be a cracking game judging by some of the play-off semifinals so far...

Anyone been to Wembley yet? Is it true there are no pubs within 25 miles?

There's not within walking distance, but if you've got time go to Tottenham Court Road or somewhere beforehand then get the tube. Once inside it's £3.50 a pint of Carlsberg (think they had John Smith's or something as well).

It's the nicest ground you could ever go to, but it doesn't have the majesty or awe of the old stadium. Only went for the U21 match though, so guess there'd at least be a better atmosphere for a big game.

Off to Inter v Torino on Sunday. Looking forward to some great displays (Italian law permitting) and lusty singing.

I'll back that up . . . I was unfortunate enough to see the mighty reds Roll Eyes get torn apart by a tremedous Yeovil Town last Friday at the City Ground. I have not seen a team under perform so spectactularly in years. Good luck to Blackpool . . . well run club that would be a credit to Championship.

Yeovil were absolute pants yesterday - I saw them batter Forest and thought they'd stretch the Mighty Pool but it was so one-sided. Blackpool have some rich Latvian investor who reckons they'll be in the prem in 5 years. They might do, but the club's too small to survive. It was a bit like Phoenix Nights on tour down there - the whole of Blackpool went to Wembley and most were probably in London for the first time ever.
