There was an excellent feature about him on Radio 4's PM the other day.
I believe he's also the oldest man in the whole of Europe.

Time for a chupeto (do apologise for my bad spelling) followed immediately by one of pear juice, beautiful.
I forgot to say - if you like rum you should try the Mount Gay stuff - it's very nice. What is a chupeto when it's at home btw?
Happy Birthday to the old soldier. I still remember that TV programme that was on a while ago with a few of those old guys talking away - I remember the old Harry Patch guy the most because he was from Somerset and he seemed such a gentle soul - so sad to think of what anyone went through in that war but he stuck in my mind the most.
Little coincidences - not really a GTTMUH but they make me think sometimes - like when I read about the old man's birthday on here, the night before I had watched the final episode of that Great War Blackadder when they finally went over the top. I was listening to a song by John Cale the other day called Gideon's Bible then when I looked up the first thing I saw was this giant big cross on the side of a church. I was thinking about a girl I know the other day then for the rest of the day her name kept cropping up on papers at work on the radio - hmmmm!

I'm glad to see he got a right fuss made over him.
I've never been a fan of Henman but I actually felt really sorry for him. Will he even bother with Wimbeldon? Will anyone bother with Wimbeldon who's name doesn't begin with Roger & end in Federer? *Sigh*
