Got my new bike yesterday Cool. Honda VFR 800 V-TEC, if that means anything to you. Also, it's in 'Italian Red'. Is that a way round saying 'Ferrari Red'? Whatever, it looks stunning. Identical to this. Love it, love it, love it Big Grin!

Looks good B&B! Remember, looks are EVERYTHING. I want to get a bike for the summer. I don't understand the rules about how fast it can be though. I was looking at Ducatti 998 Bipesto's which I believe are about 900cc. I got enough money to get one but isn't there a thing to say you can't ride above a certain cc depending on age and stuff?

G, have you taken a CBT (Compulsory Bike Test)? Need to do this first. Then you need to pass the Theory Test. After that, if you are over 21, you can take a Direct Access course. When you take your test (and pass) you will be able to ride whatever you want, straight away. Not advisable, everyone needs to ease into big bikes. I bought a 500cc Suzuki which is excellent for beginners. Think of it as a Vauxhall Corsa Wink. You can take the Restricted Course which means that when you pass the test you can only ride bikes restricted to 33bhp, something like a 125cc vehicle. You could actually buy a nutter bike like a GSXR and restrict it to 33bhp but that's not really a good idea.

Whatever you do keep me informed. Wouldn't have that Duke, though. The insurance will cripple you, as will the running costs Roll Eyes.

No, I've just got a full normal driving license.
It's not my fault that all the bikes I like the look of just happen to be very fast Confused

Learn to crawl before you can walk, my son. Believe me, you'll live longer.

...also getting a new nifty calender from Man City Nige - cheers for that! I'll post the magazine off today. It's sehr gut, the pictures are really cool and the little info bits too. I like how some phrases don't translate fully, something deep and meaningful in Italy translating as "deep are the kippers"

I read today Ivan Campo is pimping himself to Athletic - be a good move methinks

Big Grin

I didn't see my wife from Christmas Eve through to the 28th as I was with the bird. Same sort of situation over New Year too.

It's not a set up that you would call easy as I'm still at home (for a couple more weeks anyway), but things have been remarkably amicable.

Here's hoping they stay this way and I don't wake up one morning with my pecker rammed down my throat...

Yeah, we're off to look at a couple of places this Saturday.

Some people might think that it's going a bit too fast seeing as we've only been an item for a month, but we've known each other for almost a year and I know we'll be great together.

Overall, it's difficult to know how to feel though. On the one hand, I've got someone totally amazing who's completely devoted to me and waiting for me to be with her, and that's really exciting.

On the other hand, I've got divorce papers sitting on my living room table and someone else waiting on me to leave their home.

Bit messed up, ain't it?

Yep, sorry to hear that, Mezz.

The move out should take place when, and only when you have secured the following...

1. SKY TV
2. Internet connection
3. Public house within walking distance of one's new residence.

Thankfully not, B&B. If there were kids involved, the chances are I would have kept the whole thing together at home for their sake.

I was 11 when my parents seperated, and I don't think I could put a child through that. In hindsight, we possibly didn't start a family because deep down I/we may have suspected that something like this could be on the cards in future.

Anyway, all I really have to do now is find a new flat and get the funk out of my current abode.
