#1 rule in soccer, different than other sports, never, I repeat never go in a game too cocky. remember last euro cup, yes Italy did have one of the best teams there BUT, showing too much cockiness was evident with comments like those from Vieri which went something like this; "we will have an attacking team at this tournament and go full out on all opponents" (something similar to that) and what happened? they went full out alright.
same with some talk coming from Juve before the game with Arsenal. just too cocky ((especialy capellos comment on, how good they looked against Roma. NOT. With only have a starting team from Roma, they were totally outplayed)).
a couple of examples;

rumour has real madrid looking at empoli's Tavano. if he does move there, he's an idiot like cassano. he will be brought there to just keep cassano company on the bench. so he'd feel more comfortable having a country mate with him. thinnnnnnnnk Tavano before making a stupid move. such good players could go the way of the likes of simone inzhagi and ventola and so many others whom took the same route-for a few extra bucks sit on the bench, keep it warm and rot like a stiff rock. look at those "could have beens now". I better be a bit polite or I might offend simone inzhagi and may get upset and fall to the ground a cry foul--like he does wheneve he plays soccer now.

serves udinese right for their disasterous season. I think the soccer gods are punishing them for benching their top player soo early in the season and getting themselves knocked out of the champions cup soo early by trying to force him to re-sign a new contract with 2 years left on his current. Forza the soccer gods. let's hope udinese can just finish in the bottom three. I know ms. sensi tried the same in Rome but, at least it was a problem evidently going both ways with cassano.
