Pompeii. My specific focus is on two wall paintings which are in the British
museum, left by the Blacas family. I happened to notice whilst on the
internet that the Blacas family was a specific interest of yours and you
were conducting research in this area. I was wondering if, in your research
you had come across any information, which might be relevant to my study. I
am particularly interested to know when Casmir de Blacas was presented with
the two wall paintings and if any provenance was known at the time, or where
they came from in Pompeii. I am very grateful for any assistance you may be
