I saw this on Sky Sports earlier. Apparently Bernado Corradi is on the verge of a move to Man City. Good move for him and a good buy for the club. Newcastle are desperate for strikers at the moment and Corradi would have done a good job for us.

It was'nt me!!

Both sides are insane! Corradi is a very good player but not suited to the premiership and certainly a middle-of-the-road side like City will not fashion enough chances for him. He will be back in Italy for the start of the 2007 season Red Face

Newcastle would do well to sign me as a striker at the moment Frown The local press even have Luque down as a likely leaver [which wouldnt disappoint me but id think it crazy to sell a 'forward' without having already secured his replacement] Eek

Corradi would be better off moving to Palermo or Samp or someone like that...

It's annoying when you look and see players signing for other clubs when you'd have thought they're well within your range. I don't support Newcastle but they need strikers! Especially when Corradi is only going to cost a million odd. Personally I get worried about Inter and this sometimes - hopefully we'll try and get Buffoon but I'd like them to have signed Abbiati as I don't think we'll get Buffon, but Abbiati gone off to Toro now

Strengths? Holds the ball up well

Weaknesses? Tends to go down looking for a foul most of the time; rarely scores.

Rarely scoring is a bit of a weakness, especially in strikers Big Grin
I thought his goal scoring record(in Italy) was reasonably decent.
It must have been the other Bernardo Corradi i was thinking of.... Roll Eyes

10 in 35 for a struggling Parma last year...i think his overall record in Italy is 1 in 4 and a bit...which isnt awful...

One in four is pretty good in Italy isn't it, I was looking at a story about Trezeguet on FI site and he's got something like 90 odd in 150 games and people still don't rate him too much! He's an Owen type though, contributes more or less nothing to team or game apart from a good finish (which granted is important!)

Sums it up nicely.

Nothing against Dickov either and the service he gave us a while back but he is yesterday's hero and probably not up to it.
