Dear all, just returned from Firenze and saw Fiorentina beat Siena in quite a Tuscan derby before a near packed house.
Just wanted to say tickets were easy to get and there was a decent enough number in the away pen from Siena, who made a decent enough noise considering.
If anyone is going and wants ticket info, not sure if they are online, but there is a ticket office near the ground on Via Dupre, just remember your id.
Did nt see or find a programme seller, if anyone knows if Fiorentina do produce a match programme please let me know as would like to buy one, thanks
I've never seen an official programme at Fiorentina, but have manged to obtain fanzine type programmes from some of the market traders outside the ground on match days.
No, felt quite safe, was nt sure if things would be 'charged' considering it was a derby, but no, it was passionate and noisey support from both sets of fans...the Viola fans deserve their reputation for being passionate and loud, their sections were packed, as youd expected, standing, bouncing, singing and all the rest in the Curva Fiesole. No flares anywhere. Flags in the Fiesole and away sections.
No issues outside the ground either and away fans did nt appear to be kept in thier concentration camp styled pen after the final whistle, though their section was not full, decent support from those there.
Loved the stadium tho, great seats and feel on top of the action. The large tower is quite bizzare, what is that used for?
