I know he hasn't played much for Roma this season, has he still been in training though? Is he in shape? From what I read he has been very good in the last few matches, so I hope that means he is still focused on football.

I also believe he has played in the Uefa Cup for Roma, so does that mean he can't play with us in the Champions League?
I think that, as long as Real Madrid haven't dropped in to the UEFA Cup after going out of the Champion's League (can't remember and can't be @rsed checking), he can play for the Royals.
You can play for another team in Europe if you've played in the Intertoto Cup, and I'm certain you can play in the CL if you've played in a UEFA Cup qualifier.
Otherwise, Sports Interactive need to sort out the data in FM 2006!

Cassano was registered by and played for Roma in the UEFA Cup. He gets sold to the Royals, but what if they had finished third in their CL group and dropped in to the UEFA Cup.
Could Cassano:
a) Play in the competition at all? b) Play against Roma if the Royals met them?
I believe Milan, Juve, Inter and Roma would be making a mistake if they allow Cassano leave Italy. he's real talent regardless of his off-the-field behaviours.
Real Madrid need a striker at the moment though, they don't have many. I think they've over-populated the dressing room with hard-working midfielders and world class defenders.
He must be going to Man Utd then . If you follow all the rumours Capello wants to work in England next. I reckon there will be a job available in North West England come June !
