Are you sure? I think my godkids (all under 11) could over-run that midfield. Baptista is an attacking midfielder or deep lying forward a la Cassano. Cassano would have that role if he finally leaves us. I know Roma have blown contract talks but he's shown no loyalty. Best to get rid, the youngsters have been an absolute pleasure last two matches. Frees up some wages for the others and £3.5M for last six months of contract shows Madrid's desperation.

Raul won't be injured forever. I suspect he'll be demanding his place alongside Ronaldo soon. Forza Juventus. Scotland 1 - 0 France 07/10/06 France 0 - 1 Scotland 12/09/07

cassano would play though, he's better. Glad we got some money but i'm so sad he's gone. I don't care about all the bad stuff but he's an amazing player.

Aye, he's better right now. But still Badrid players are an arrogant bunch and Raul is the captain. Forza Juventus. Scotland 1 - 0 France 07/10/06 France 0 - 1 Scotland 12/09/07

maybe they'll not bother with a defence and have 4 upfront!

Well they've been playing without a defence for the past three seasons, so why not! Forza Juventus. Scotland 1 - 0 France 07/10/06 France 0 - 1 Scotland 12/09/07

Rosa, I know it's heartbreaking to see him go but has he ever said he want's to stay? I don't follow the media in Italy closely enough to know. The exchanges I have seen reflect badly on both player & club. There's not point being a genius with no loyalty or club ambition. Bye Mr Cassano, Raul's place is yours. More talent and a better player over the last five years by a country mile.

He did say he wanted to stay in September but he probably didn't mean it and also Roma don't want him. Selling now was only way that we'd make some money so it's best for everyone.

Rosa it is possibly the best thing that could have happened for the Romolini. E' un piantagrane

I would really have loved him to stay - if not at Roma then in Italy. No matter his behavior he's a talented player.

I've read that they're going to have him for he rest of the season then sell him back (probably to Inter or to Juve) at an increased price. This way they get to replace Raul for a bit of time and make a profit. Unless he is successful.

Come next season he´ll be back in Italy. Not with Roma though. FORZA ROMA
FORZA ROMA

Chances of that happening? Damn good I'd have thought. ----
I took the road less well travelled.

good luck to him though, i hope he gets some playing time now as Italy will need him in Germany. I will be interested to see his first hissy fit though, next week most probably.

Get rid of Raul and just play with a front 3 of Fatty, Cassano, and Robinho. Damn, that is a good front 3. But 2 holding mids in there and Real are set. I liked Cassano and wanted him to stay at Roma. Now we have Totti leading the line by himself.
Everybody Wang Chung tonight
