Really made me sick to learn the day after italy won the world cup that the top teams were riddled by wide-spread corruption

I no longer support the Italian football team.

The corruption will continue for the foreseeable futire, imo.

Unfortunately, youre 4 weeks late pal and some of us, myself particularly, are somewhat sick of talking about it. I'd just like to get back to some football...

He was probably just trying to be controverstial anyway...

Indeed, pal!!!!

You may be ashamed and want it swept under the carpet, but I for one is unable to stomach cheating!!!!!!!!!!

I threw up the day I heard about this and colleauges at work were taking the Mickiano out of me as I openly supported Italy in the World Cup!! Frown

Corruption is vile and all responsible must be sent to prison and their assests taken away and given to the poor.

Where's the controversy? Who gives a toss if one individual declares he's not supporting the Italian national team because a group of clubs from said nation got caught cheating?

Hi,
How would you feel if the national team of a country you supported turned out to be rotten to the core.

95% of my colleauges supported England and some were very angry re my stance and I'm not Italian.

when this news broke, I apid a hefty price. So I hate Italian football because of the corruption.

Corruption should not be tolerated.

How on earth did you not hear about this before or during the World Cup? It was all the media talked about when discussing the Italians.

Like I said, nobody gives a toss about ur boo hoos. Either man up and stop being a pus5y in front of ur friends or arriverderci, leave the rest of us to celebrate world champion status and go pis5 on someone else's parade.

SW3 said at the top of this thread that he thought the corruption would continue for the forseeable future.

I think SW3 is wrong because the entire system of 'corruption' hinged upon Moggi, and in his absence there is going to be a power vacuum for a while. After a few years, I've no doubt that 'corruption' will return in some form or other, but in the meantime there should be a more level playing field.

Hi R

I tend to agree with you to an extent.

I loved the Italian national team!!!

For future is bleak as corruption will result in the national team not doing as well as they can.

India had rubbish cricket team and especially local ones as corruption was rife and the rich parents wanted their children to play for a famous team, and as a result, the nation suffered. Things have improved.

Italain football is not corrupt to the same extent, but it is heading that way, IMO. However, I hope I'm wrong as I love Ranaldo and the way he took on rooney!!
