Despite the punative measures taken out against Juventus, Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio it is my belief that Inter will not win the league, despite being many peoples favourites. They are a team that consistently attempts to buy its way to the scudetto - bringing in star names while sacrificing any semblance of team spirit. Many of the 'name' players they have brought in seem to be there simply for the fat paycheck. They are truly the Real Madrid of Italy, and have encountered the myriad problems that the 'Galacticos' have suffered in recent seasons. I do feel sorry for the long-suffering Inter fans.
Attempting to "buy" your way to the title (even though that is plainly not the case with regard to Inter) is far more admirable than cheating and bribing your way there. Just ask Chelsea. In as much as feeling sorry for us, don't waste your emotions.
"Io sono Interista" has now come to stand for honesty, openess and sporting merit. As an interista I've never been happier. Thanks.
Strangely enough, I don't think you are sorry at all! Who doesn't try to buy some form of success? Do you think Buffon came on a free? Who's to say that if the League had been a level playing field in the first place Inter would not have won more? And how many 'star names' have Inter bought in? There's Fat Ron, of course. Was Recoba a star when he was bought? Was Cambiasso? I believe he wasn't 'Galactico' enough . Who had heard of Adriano before he was brought from Brazil? Veron? He still belonged to Chelsea!
There's plenty of team spirit but it only takes one bad apple to spoil the whole bunch, girl. So Ronaldo is gone, Christian Vieri is gone, Veron is gone: Adriano next? Maybe. And if we were the Real Madrid of Italy we would be broke but nick all the best players by selling our training ground and soul.
So take your crocodile tears and stick them where the sun don't shine. Let others lie and cheat their way to glory: win or lose (yes, I know, more often than not), we support a 'clean' team.

No smugmess intended. Glee, aniticpation and a genral aura of positivity yes. But smugness that comes with repeated success on the pitch and I'm planning to safe that emotion for next June. Show your colours Mrs Doubtfire . . .
at least AC had the integrity to say they wouldnt accept a trophy 'regalato' as default, seems inter are so desperate they are willing to do just that...
Apart from Roma, on paper there shouldn't be any other team standing in Inter's way. I'd prefer Roma to win, but I think the odds are slightly for Inter. Ofcourse, things change quickly in football and I could be dead wrong, but I think that Inter will win. What do people make of the Italian teams chances of an impressive performance in the champions league next year? I'm damn sure that Inter will mess up in THAT competition (like they always do). I can see Palermo performing well, though.

Before Milan got dragged in, did you not hear/see Berlusconi saying HE wants the last 2 scudettos!
I'ts good to see such bravado from some undoubtedly dedicated Inter fans here. However, to argue that Inter are without their problems is ludicrous. Inter are very much a case of all mouth and no trousers - promising much and delivering little. They have an over-reliance on tempramental Argentinian players, an incredibly shabby record of treatment with their managers in the past. And, lets face it, an awful record in the Milan derby in recent years.
I hope they prove me wrong this season, but I cant see them being able to actually string enough results together to mount a serious challenge for anything other than a champions league spot.
I'm not being disingenuous with these posts, just looking for a reason behind Iner's staggering lack of success in recent years.

Luckily Inter weren't desperate enough to hire a mafioso like Moggi to run the club, creating a network of corruption and cheating.
Berlusconi was among the first to claim the last two titles.
Inter are merely attempting to strike a blow for honesty
