First of all, I do wanna sell two tickets that I have, but if you're gonna shout about spammers etc., I am a registered member since about a year back, although admittedly I don't post that often.
Anyway, I have two tickets for the match in Dortmund between the winner of group F (Brazil) and the runner-up in group E, which could as well be gli azzurri, but who knows, it's basically 50-50 for the Czechs or Italians on the 2nd spot.
Either way, you may just wanna go there to see Brazil (that is unless something tremendeously unexpected happens to their world cup campaign).
The tickets are on auction at ebay, and here's the link:
If I was interested I'd take my chances outside at the price you're asking. Dortmund's ground is huge and an almost certainty to get in at a reasonable price. Well less than £250 a ticket anyway.
"It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you ..............."
The reason I'm asking that price is that I myself actually paid more for it last summer on the black market. The tickets for the same match have gone for 1300 dollars on ebay before.
But are you kidding? Getting tickets to the world cup couldn't be anymore difficult no matter how big the stadium is. It's not merely about price, you have to apply to even get to buy them.

I got a Champions league final ticket in 1999 (MUFC vs Bayern) for £100 outside the ground.
I understand you wanting to get your money back but I'd hold on til the World Cup is under way if you're after the pennies. It's not even a definite fixture. A short E-bay auction will get a better price if it's your dream fixture.

Are you saying that if I would, for instance, put it on ebay 2 weeks before the match, I'd get more bids?
I don't know, I myself paid money in that "league" and it was over half a year from now. I did it because I was desperate after failing on my regular ticket application, so I tried my luck at ebay, and the auction pushed me up those sums. I'm assuming anyone who wants to pay money like that for world cup matches is absolutely fanatic about international football or just really well off financially. 'Cause that's the sums that are paid for the other tickets on auction. There was one that didn't get any bids at all, but that's because he kinda pushed it and had 1400 dollars as starting bid.
It's hard to tell but I get the impression that the attraction of the ebay wc tickets have gone slightly down in the recent weeks.
Also, I figure people will be more willing to bid if they don't have to think about having time for lodging arrangments and such.
Whatever, we'll see how it goes. If I sell my tickets now, great, and if I don't, I guess time will prove if you're right about holding up or not.
Hey no problem, didn't really come off as cheeky, at least not in a bad way!
There's the matter though of you describing yourself as mancunian and attending the Bayern clash at Camp Nou... Makes you a Man Utd fan, right? I prefer Italian football these days, but I still support Liverpool.

Why do you prefer italian football now?
Missing a championship in the last 16 years?

ebay in the UK have banned any listings for World Cup tickets and FIFA have stated that they'll cancel any tickets found for sale through auction sites - but if you want to risk it.
I was watching some world cup tickets and received an e-mail from ebay to say that all listings were being deleted.
I hope that they don't stop concert tickets - I bought two for U2 last year at well below the face value! Leave it until about a week before the concert and people are desperate to sell them for any price, and serves them right.
I've given up on trying to get anymore World Cup tickets before I go, I'll just turn up at the ground at kick-off time and see what the touts are charging - if France 98 is anything to go by, they'll be practically giving them away to the less fashionable matches.
The reason would be that FIFA have a nominal ticket policy, that doesn't really work out in practice, but anyway, there it is, and as far as I know concert tickets are not personal.
I think it sucks that ebay UK would give in to FIFA like that. I wonder what made them take that decision. I'm not a black marketer in general, and this is the first time I'm selling anything at all on ebay.COM, and neither am I a big fan of "scouts", but FIFA's hardcore policy mainly strikes at desperate fans. Most people are not succesful with their ticket applications, so they don't get a ticket, FIFA won't have an "open" name transfer portal, and officially they don't allow people to get in with a ticket they buy on the black market. I think it's double standard...They don't do shit for you in terms of letting you attend a match, and if you try to get help some other way, they reject you that way as well. So you have some guy who's given all his life to the game for like 20 years, and then another group who merely think it may be "fun" to go watch a match with their country. And then lottery decides that the latter gets the tickets. Is that a fair game or what.
@Hac 51
I used to follow both leagues with great passion, starting from 1991, but around the mid-decade I turned more towards the PL because Milan's domination of the Serie A was frustrating for someone who dislikes the rossneri. But then I grew older, Milan's domination has passed, and while English football has been commercialized to the max, there's still some geat passion in Italian football. Also I think I'm a lot more nostalgic these days and Italy I guess will always be the home of football for me because Italia 90 was the first world cup tournament that I followed.
Exactly how is FIFA supposed to cancel tickets that they find on ebay when no one is dumb enough to give out info about exact seating/rows and such? (actually I think some people have done that on .com, but whatever).
Well, I assumed it was a collaboration with FIFA, because why else would ebay UK ban it? People have been selling tickets of all kinds on the black market forever, including ebay. So if they take this decision regarding world cup tickets, shouldn't we assume there's a collaboration going on?
