Lazio had a 51,000 average in 99/00.
Yes, there is friction between the ultrá and President Lotito, but it was much, much worse at the start of the season. Things have calmed down a bit now.
Attendances have dropped everywhere in Serie A. A couple of years ago Roma had 45 000 season ticket holders...now we are only 24 000... Lazio have always had alot less. I guess the violence is partly to blame and now you can watch all the games on sky, which a few years ago you couldnt.
Slightly off topic, but does anyone know why Lazio's banners are displayed upside down and what the significance of it is? Only noticed it at the weekend, so am not sure either if it's a permanent thing or just because it was against Roma.
The Curva Sud didnt put any up at the Deby... Sundays protests were about not being able to take in certain banners and the new procedures you have to go through to do anything.. like fax half of Italy to get permission.. this is also why there was no choreography.
