You may as well vote though Rosa. You have a vote, use it. It's very sad to hear people of my age saying its pointless voting.

'New' Labour = Conservative. Micky, there's be no difference whatsoever. It would be like Robbing Peter to pay Paul etc... Vote for someone else, we don't just have 'New' Labour and the Tories. (Don't vote for any radical right-wing parties though.) And Rosa, VOTE, VOTE, damn you! Forza Juventus. Scotland 1 - 0 France 07/10/06 France 0 - 1 Scotland 12/09/07

I think it is always important to go to the polling station for elections (sacrifices of our forefathers and "foremothers", foreskins, etc...). But if there is nothing worth voting for then I will spoil my ballot paper. Ideally we should have a "None of the Above" option on the ballot paper. Won't happen though!

I wonder what the turn out will be this time.

The choice this time around is not much of a choice. None of the parties I get to vote for represent my opinions so why on earth would I vote? Spoilt ballot papers work to an extent but not completely. A "none of the above" would be ideal.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups

When I CAN vote I will vote.
Just never ever ever ever conservative, unless myabe it was a choice between them and UKIP...

I'll be able to vote this time around as any proposed election should fall after my birthday, but i can't see myself voting simply because i don't know who to vote for. No parties seem to stand out for me, so i think it'd be worthless to go in and waste a vote.
Forza Juve!!!

Leadbelly, I agree sir. In a democracy, if you don't like any of the parties, presumably not voting for any of them, if that's what you want to do, is very democractic.
When in Rome, do the Romans.

Kilroy-Silk is a moron. He doesn't seem to have a clue about his own policies. There was a quite hilarious interview with him on Radio 4 the other day, where he was being interviewed by Eddie Mair. He couldn't answer basic questions about his own policies - I hope anyone considering voting for him is aware of the fact he hasn't got a scooby what he's talking about. Well done to whoever chucked that bucket of shite over him the other week.
If people don't vote because they don't want to support any of the parties, there's nothing wrong with that - as Spinoza says, if anything, that makes it more democratic.
However, it is rather worrying how many people my age won't vote because of the fact they are completely ignorant of politics.

ON what basis can you claim that if one wishes to vote Conservative, then they might as well not vote at all?

Don't you have to be from America to say that?

Because it's a wasted vote.
