I can't seem to find the old music thread, and as i haven't been on in a while, I wanted to share some of my fave new artists with you:
Broken Social Scene - Broken Social Scene : They've been around a while, but seem to be getting a lot of attention all of a sudden, partly due to underground canadian music scene not being so underground anymore. If you like the Arcade Fire, you'll enjoy this...
Two Gallants- What the Toll Tells : San Fran outfit, just the two of them, bit like the white stripes, but far far better. Tales of outlaws, jails, steady rollin and lost love. Really worth a listen, have a look at the website and have a listen to 'as Cruces Jail' or watch the vid for 'Steady Rollin'.
Mono - Walking Cloud and Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered and the Sun Shined - The album before last, very epic, very Godspeed-esque and a shining monument to the genius of the Jap prog rockers.

Twice.
What? That's not cool, because someone's actually heard of it? 8)
Try listening to them before making comments - It may broaden your musical horizons; which was my original intention of posting them up. 'Two Gallants' are, in particular, very very good:
Does anyone know what are the lyrics to the chorus of Audioslave's 'Show me how to live'? I've looked at a few lyrics sites and they give various versions. While I'm asking I might as well also ask for the lyrics to The White Stripes' version of St. James Infirmary. There are about three-hundred different takes on them.

it's something like 'nail in my hand, from my creator, you gave me life so show me how to live'
buy the album you cheap f@#k it has the lyrics in the booklet!
Anyone had the pleasure of seeing Flaming Lips' new video? Bloody brilliant - wild bears chasing the lead singer who has burgers and steak sellotaped all over his body!
