Which side do you think was better? Vialli, Ferrara, Torricelli, Jugovic and co or the squad now. Who would win in a match.

I personally think that the side of 95 was more entertaining but I can't decide who's better.

'97 was better than both of them.

'95 and '97 were pretty similar but Boksic, Padovano, Del Piero and Vieri had the edge over an ageing Vialli and unpredictable Ravenelli.

Ravanalli and Bonetti ended up at Dundee FC.

Send a few more and I'll assess who's better.

Del Piero & Trez would be fine on loan Big Grin

I've been a Juve supporter since 94. I have no idea what "Gobbi" means.

Gobbi means hunchbacks? What has supporting Juve got to do with hunchbacks?

I just think it's intended as a compliment from our dear neighbours in Milan.

If being a hunchback means I support one of the best club sides in the world. A club that has won Lo scudetto no less than 28 times, well then I'm a hunchback and proud of it!

Well Platini team with Scirea,Gentile,Cabrini...was best ever in Italian football...

And still I think with Luca Vialli in the side we were best team on the world...

Although this team looks great mostly because Vieira arrival...

And yes this team have some other will never have, great Gigi Buffon...

It takes time...to count 29 titles

You don't know about the alleged doping? You don't know the given nickname? Eek You're not a 'supporter', you're a 'fan'. Maybe you were born in '94 Big Grin.

I was born in 78 blackandblue.

I'm not interested in anything other than what goes on on the pitch. I couldn't care less about fooball related gossip. All I know is that I watch every game I can and want them to win. Fan? Supporter? Call it what you want. I'm passionate about my team, but not to the point of obsession.

I was born in 78, leave Lavagna alone, its not his or Lippi's fault that Mad Max was still so p00 that he couldnt win with a team lead by an awesome FatRon.

I think the name gobbo is in relation to la vecchia signora's posture.

What is la vecchia signora. Is it the old lady? Who is the old lady anyway? I've never understood why juve are called the old lady?

Get yourself a copy of this month's Calcio Italia magazine - there's a section on this. But yep, vecchia signora is old lady - old as Juve are a historic club. Can't remember why lady. In the old days the Juve shirts were too big and made the players look like hunchbacks - hence gobbi.
