I wanted to mention that tomorrow is the 1st anniversary of Marcello's tragic and untimely death. Since the championship is named after him I feel it is apt to ask you all to take a few moments out to remember him in whatever way you knew him. In many ways today is the anniversary since it was two hours ago on a Sunday that I received that phone call. I will be visiting his grave tomorrow with some thoughts and memories of my own and would be happy to pass on to him some of yours. Please raise a glass to his memory or do whatever is comfortable to you.

I will never forget you broc.

I will be in Glasgow for the Inter v Rangers CL game. I am staying with friends in East Kilbride (hopefully) so I'm hoping to pass by the family fish and chip shop to pay my respects. Do you have the address?

I beleive the family have rented out the shop but it is still named 'Emanuelle's Fish and Chips'. It is in St Leonards Square in East Kilbride, off High Common Road.

I'm ok Verno thanks. Its just that its the year anniversary and I wouldn't want him to think I forgot! He was such a great guy and an important contributer to the forum that I think it would be wrong not to mention it.
Thanks for the pic by the way.

I think most people were aware of the anniversary because of the race last week but it's good to have a thread.

You're welcome for the pic.

I'm off to bed. Goodnight.

Echo all the above. He's been gone for a year but this shows nobody has forgotten him. I keep thinking what he'd have thought about various things footy that happend in the last 365 days - Celtic and Scotland at San Siro, Istanbul, Vieri to Milan. I'm absolutely sure he'd have had paroxysms about the latter ones.

Will raise a glass in your memory on Wednesday - even you'd have supported Inter that night.

My thoughts are with his family.

And I'd echo Liam's thoughts - the forum hasn't been the same since he died. He was one of the longest-standing, funniest and most interesting posters on here, and indeed was the holder of the Championship which was named after him after his death.

I would say that I hope the Inter - Rangers result makes him happy....but since he was a fan of Milan and Celtic, I'm not sure who he'd rather get thrashed!

RIP Marcello Chicarella. I miss the partisan Milan humour you brought to the forum.

Can't believe it's been a year already...
