We are travelling to Milan for a weekend away and are planning to go to the AC Milan V Juventus game.
The cheapest tickets I can find for this game are £80 each .. and thats for the 'category C' seats (whatever that means).
Is this normal? Does anyone know where/how I can get cheaper tickets?
My other question is around the date of the fixture. This game is scheduled for the Sunday 30th October. However, Milan have a champions league game on Tuesday 1st of November. Will they just move the Juve game to the 29th (Saturday)?
It would be a mare to fly out and have no game to see.
If Milan play in the champs league on the Tuesday, then I'm 99.99% sure the game will get moved to the saturday nite...
Tough official tickets would probably be cheaper (try the london Juve club, though tickets will be very limited.. Milan clubs I don't know about), its a big game... and if you're flying all the way out there £80 odd is not a terrible price to pay for that sort of game...
Get the tickets while you can: the game will be a definite sell-out. You could always go and find some touts that may be cheaper and then sell the ones you already have to some unsuspecting tourist .

I doubt youll have luck with the touts...tickets now have names printed on them and you have to show a passport or id card (name obviously matching that on the ticket) to get in the stadium. Parma is the only club that you can buy tickets from on match day so you will need to get them before then. Youd pay around 80 quid to go to a top game at the Olimpico in Tribuna so i guess its normal.
Doc, a category C is the third tier at the Meazza. You will probably have vat to pay on top of the 80 quid so you are looking at 100 quid for the ticket. It will be a fantastic atmosphere and the night-time games are spectacular for the flares etc. If Milan are playing on the Tuesday in the CL then it will definitely be moved to the Saturday night. It is too risky to buy from touts as some guys have been sold fakes at previous Milan derbies and been very disappointed.
Thx Guravy .. I ended up paying 85 quid (including VAT) for the ticket.
Gurjio .. No this is not the Notts Doc .. this is the real Doc .. from further up the A1
Anyone got any advice for the night? .. best time to arrive at the ground... anywhere to have a drink/food close by the ground... places to avoid etc...
Note that restaurants tend to be closed between 3 and 7pm therefore I would have a big lunch with just a snack before the game. I would be at the ground at least 2 hrs before kick off as it will take a while to get in and it is worth it when you see and hear the effort the fans put in. It takes about 25 mins to get from the Lotto underground stop to the ground with the flow of people and there are also free buses from Lotto to the ground as well. There is a small bar close to Lotto that tends to only be open before Milan games. I will try and find out the street name but it is just off Piazzale Lotto. Have a great time and I am very jealous.
