Here's a familiar story. When is any team going to learn Roll Eyes?

Manchester Utd 0 West Ham Utd 1 Eek. Sheffield Utd 1 Wigan 2 Eek. Please let the scores stay as they are and the Hammers stay up.

How ironic: its Tevez’s goal* that might just save them…

* along with all the other goals he’s scored and assisted…

We aint bovvered. I hear the whole of Bramhall Lane, Sheffield Utd and Wigan were chanting 'Stand up if you hate West Ham'. And I'd actually prefer the Blades to stay up rather than Wigan. The Latics have a price fixing chairman, no support and it's an egg-chasing town!

Anyway, it's not over yet.

Watching the relegation battle this season was rather addictive. Way more exciting than the "battle" between Manure & Chelski. I was willing on Wigan. I'm not sure why.

I really wanted Wigan to go down. Might happen next year now that Paul Jewell has stepped down.

I think they had about 10,000 as an average home attendance before the local egg-chasers realised that the Premiership was in the offing.

Pathetic.

Allardyce has been confirmed, and has had a press conference. I think he was ther impressive in facing the media, and gave good quote.

quoted direct from website:

Inter are reportedly ready to offer West Ham United £25m for Carlos Tevez. The Argentine ace netted seven times in the last 10 games of the season to help the Hammers avoid relegation, but there has been plenty of controversy over his signing last summer which resulted in the East London club being fined a record £5.5m. Now the Daily Express has reported that the Nerazzurri will join Real Madrid and Sevilla in the chase for one of the hottest properties in football.

Congratulations to Chelsea on an amazing cup double.

A fantastic, awesome, stupendous cup double.

Nail the Community Shield in August and, boy, what a treble!

You'll never walk alone.

Sick

One of the more tedious cup finals of recent years.

Gracious in defeat, eh!

I thought the Man United fans were appalling today.

Their booing of the former Wembley heroes was ignorant, disrespectful, and downright rude. These are men who have contributed to the history of the F.A. Cup, they don't take their place in football folklore for granted - unlike Man Yoo who buggered off to Brazil and devalued the competition.

As soon as the full-time whistle went, their end emptied and few stayed to see them collect their medals. These were the same people who no doubt lauded them last week when they got the league title. No round of applause for their heroes at the end of the season is typical of bad losers.

And listening to Alan Green's 6-0-6 was sickening, all these callers bemoaning Taggart's negative tactics. Ungrateful bas......

Well at least there were Man Utd fans there who actually cheered the team on. It didn't seem like there were any Chelsea fans in the stadium.
The match was diabolical and if that's the best that the supposed two best teams in England can offer then football has reached a pretty dire level.
I hope that the CL final on wednesday will prove to be a proper footballing spectacle.

ADP 06/07 - 23 goals

The FA Cup is bobbins, let's be honest. I hate all this "it's the magic of the Cup" pretence. Getting excited about Premiership sides against lower division sides is probably indicative of a much larger problem in life.

The 'magic of the cup' attitude only seems to come from the BBC nowadays, and when they lose the rights to the FA Cup at the end of next season, I'm sure we'll no longer hear it from them, and instead hear it from Des...no, Gabby...no...er, whoever ITV have fronting their football. My money's on Chegwin.

Not Premiership as such, but English league...

Good to see the same old cr@p after all this time.

Yes the competition was devalued and yes United did bugger off to Brazil - at the demand of the FA who were 5hit scared that UEFA would send Bayern Munich in Uniteds place and would undermine their bid for the 2006 World Cup which, of course, was so successful.

Not the point, United could have fielded a youth team for the third round. They do that anyway.
