Rep of Ireland - Wales
(Also Ireland-England Six Nations Rugby)

This is the first soccer game to be played at Croke Park so none of you were probably at this stadium before:

By the way tickets are electronically scanned and there's turnstiles too. Razz

Capacity: 82,300 (69,500 covered seats + 12,800 terrace)
Capacity for soccer: 76,000 (69,500 covered seats + 6,500 uncovered temporay seats in Hill16 for away supporters)
The away soccer supporters have to be on the uncovered Hill16 because there is no seggregation provisions in the rest of the stadium as supporters in Gaelic football are mixed, so only the Hill is separated by a wall so no-one goes from the cheaper terrace to the stands. It's not because we want you to get rained on, although that would be a bonus Razz

Directions: About 20 minutes walk from O'Connell Street (Dublin's main street).

looksa nice ground, but that one end (Hill 16?) lets it down somewhat

It's probably going to turn out to be a very dull affair. A republic side that struggles to beat San Marino and a Welsh side that is at the moment getting worse and worse and worse....

ADP 06/07 - 23 goals

217 not out!!!!!!!!

We didn't play too well the other night, but we were missing Gabbidon, Delaney, Collins, Giggs, Bale, Earnshaw. That's basically the core of our team. We will beat the Rep, no worries

They were initially going to have it the same as the rest of the stands but the Dublin GAA supporters got up a petition to keep it as a terrace as the Dubs use 95% of it when they play there. The part to the left with not much seats is due to the security CCTV building being there. It couldn't be a perfect Curva because there is the main Sligo railway line right behind the wall.
The Hill was built with provisions that they can put a roof on it if they so wish.

I'll be very surprised if Ireland win.
